    I have 2 questions:
    1. is there a way to write the website meta “description” without a plugin? I know there’s lots of plugin can do this, but I want to save space to load website faster. thank you
    2. I have submit the website to google for over a month, but it still hasn’t been indexed by google. So , I’d like to know if this theme comes automatically with a “robots.txt” ? As I don’t know how to write one.

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you John, I’m using the Xstore CHILD theme , can I just edit meta “description” in XSTORE(parent theme) in theme editor ? such as the theme header.php of XSTORE(parent theme), I mean can I edit the PARENT theme directly ?

    thank you.

    Hello,

Never edit the parent theme because you will lose changes after the theme update. You can use only child theme if you need to make changes in files. Besides, SEO plugins allow you to adjust many more additional SEO settings useful for your site, so we would recommend you to use this to add meta descriptions, keywords etc.

robots.txt does not come with theme because it should be placed in root directory of your WP installation and include code depending on your needs. But there are many tutorials on how to create that.

    Regards
