    HI
    Is there a way to delay the mega menu opening it opens the second you cross it with your mouse.
    This is really anyoing. Perhaps there is a setting I have missed.
    I have never used mega menus before but this seems to me like there should be a setting to adust it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Please try to use this custom CSS code:

    .menu-item-has-children:hover>.nav-sublist-dropdown,li.menu-open-by-click.opened>.nav-sublist-dropdown,li:hover>.nav-sublist-dropdown {
        -webkit-animation-duration: var(--dropdown-animation-duration,.5s);
        animation-duration: var(--dropdown-animation-duration,.5s);
    }

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    Where do I put it? is it possible to put it in the child theme so it applies to all of my mega menus?
    Thanks
    Nick

    Hello,

    You can add code to the settings of the menu item you want to influence via the header builder – https://prnt.sc/fsGBJhe3lapD

    Thanks that’s not working there seems to be a lot of errors in it.
    I was also hoping to be able to add it to some code to a file in the chid theme so it applies to all the mega menus I create. Is that possible?
    See screen shot for warnings
    Cheers

    Hello Nick,

    Thank you for your message. The code itself is correct, and you can safely ignore those warning symbols. You can also add the code to your child theme’s style.css file so that it applies to all the mega menus you create.

    Please let us know if everything works properly after adding the code.

    Best regards,

    Hi
    thanks for that.
    I have added it to the style.css file see the screen shot aattached but it has made no difference.
    If your mouse is above the menu it is almost impossible to get down onto the page without triggering the mega menu drop downs.
    If you need access to the backend please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hello @nickporter,

    We have added the following custom CSS code to your website:

    body li.menu-open-by-click.opened>.nav-sublist-dropdown,
    body li:hover>.nav-sublist-dropdown {
        -webkit-animation-duration: 0.7s !important;
        animation-duration: 0.7s !important;

    will that work on all mega menus now ?

    second on some of the mega menus when I have over them I get this message. but this appears when I am on the home page so I can’t save it. How to fix please..

    We have imported template successfully. To setup it in the correct way please, save this page, refresh and select it in dropdown.

    Hello @nickporter,

    This setting should be applied to all mega menus. However, if you would like to adjust the opening speed for specific menu items, please clarify your request in detail and include screenshots.

    The message you see on some mega menu items may appear if the mega menu content has been deleted. You can reassign the content for these items by navigating to XStore Builders -> Header Builder -> Elementor -> All Departments -> Select Mega Menu Content: https://prnt.sc/W-j6iStMelQJ
