Hi 8theme support,
We got some feedback from visitors and also noticed ourselves that our Main Menu in header, and we use the same in the footer, is not changing to the set language. Think it might have stopped working after last update and we just noticed it a couple of days ago. This is very annoying for both us and our visitors when the header always goes to one language and makes it hard to click to the right pages. We use the Xstore header builder and first time having issues with it.
Please see Private content area for print screens and more details.
Thanks in advance for helping out!
Best Regards,
Rob
Hello,
1) To translate header to multiple languages and show correct menu for the language use Multiple headers option https://youtu.be/BpeXfzNwkOc Create header for every language that you have https://prnt.sc/1saz77r and choose the correct menu while editing Main menu element of every header.
2) The same for the footer https://prnt.sc/1saye3w

Hi Olga,
1) Okay, it has to do with something after the update with header builder when the menu translations have worked good for a long time. Looks like it is working now.
2) This is not how it looks in our end. We have the correct language to every footer. See private content area.
Checking the site and everything seems to look good now.
Also, did you update wordpress/theme when you checked it out? Just looking if it was a scheduled update that went through on the same time. Might just been a coincidence
We checked the site on different devices and it works only on desktop = the main menu changes the language as it should except for the “newsletter” button up in the right corner that sill is only set to the main language of the homepage.
The menu will not yet translate on mobile devices.
Appreciate the help Olga!
Best Regards,
Rob
Hello,
1) I have created multiple headers for you to show the example. So, edit every additional header > edit Newsletter element and change it according to your needs. Edit the mobile menu of every header and choose the menu that should be there. Save headers and save theme options. Finish translation of your headers, I changed the main menu to show you an example how to do this and that it works.
2) Yes, because I have edited and chose the correct menu for every static block. Before it was SE for all of them.

1) Yes, I can see that. I did the changes. Did not first get it to work I due to the customization page was very laggy and ended up in endless spiral of “saving” when pressed save. Needed to log in and out several times. I did though get it to work at lats. See private content area for double checking that we did it the right way.
2) Okay. Wierd that it was not in the correct language from the beginning when it has worked for over 1 year until now. But good that it changes now.
Thanks for the help. Works now!
Best Regards,
Rob
Hello,
1) Yes, that’s right. You edit Fi-default header > go to mobile menu > select correct menu > save header in the Multiple headers section and then save global settings. Check the menu after that.
2) Anyway, glad to hear that now everything is ok.

Awesome! Thank you so much again Olga. You are doing an awesome work helping everyone out when needed. Keep the good work up!
