Lots of user registrations being created

I am frustrated as am having a huge number of user registrations being created even though I have the below settings
=> disabled “Anyone can register” under Settings > General if not required

There must be an hidden form exposed by the Royal theme that is still allowing a bot to create user account

Even after having captcha updated, the accounts were still being created

Please, contact administrator
for this information.

Hello, Shafi,

We are sorry that you have encountered this issue. Royal does not include any hidden registration forms. The Royal registration form operates based on the default WordPress settings, and the “Anyone can register” option affects this form. Please try disabling third-party plugins. If any modifications have been made in the child theme, they should also be disabled.

Could you please confirm whether you are still experiencing spam registrations?

We also recommend running a full Wordfence scan to ensure that there are no malicious files on your website.

Additionally, please disable the registration option at checkout: https://prnt.sc/1nawPX6ptSd2.

Hi Samir, I am still seeing a huge number of spam account creations .. i just deleted almost more than a 1000 today

Also, not sure what your last comment means …. “Please disable the registration option at checkout: https://prnt.sc/1nawPX6ptSd2”

The reason why I had provided you the admin account is to do the needful or see what is needed. I don’t have a registration option at checkout

Our previous message ( https://prnt.sc/7Hd9Hlv42aSb ) meant that the registration behavior on your website is not related to our theme. You may try to resolve the issue by deactivating third-party plugins.
By default, customer registration on your website is managed by the WooCommerce plugin and should work the same way with any theme, including the default WooCommerce theme (Storefront) as well as ours. If you are unable to resolve the issue on your own, we recommend contacting the WooCommerce plugin support team, as the registration functionality is provided by that plugin, and we are not its developers – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/
