I have a client’s dev site on a different server as the live site. How can I use the same license on both dev and live when they are housed in different servers? If I deactivate that dev license, what will happen to all the settings I already set up? I tried to load the license into the live site but it’s not working, and I’m guessing it’s because the dev is still using it.

Update — I installed a new instance on the same server as my dev site just to test. I pasted the license and even though I check the “agree” box, the submit button remained unclickable. That was version 5.5 of WordPress, same as the one in the new server.

So I installed another new instance of WordPress using 5.4.x and it let me register the theme. Since WP 5.5 just came out 2 days ago I wonder if that is an issue that needs to be checked since I had the same problem on the same new version on 2 different servers.

Took my actual dev site and downgraded it to 5.4.x…and voila….the Register button works. Definitely an issue with 5.5.

    Hello,

You can use the theme on your test domain and live one also at the same time. But keep in mind that you can use our theme license for 1 end product only.
The problem with activation on sites that are using the new WP version was fixed in the latest update. Go to Dashboard > Updates > click “Check again” button to get new versions of the theme and core plugin. Update XStore theme and XStore core plugin to versions 6.3.9.1 and 2.3.9.1. Latest versions you can download from this page also – https://www.8theme.com/downloads/ to do the update via FTP.

    Regards
