    Good day 8theme support.

I have purchsed licences for Visual Composer and Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer so I can have the latest versions on our site instead of wiating for updates from 8theme.

However, since upgrading to the latest versions of these plugins – there are layout issues with your theme.

One example is that the testimonial slider on our home page is not rendering in the front end – but it is in the page. Also the Google Map is not rendering in the footer of the home page – but it is on other pages. There are a few more – particularly pertaining to background images/colours in rows, but this will do for now as examples.

The issue is that both vendor of Visual Comoposer and Ultimate addons have offered support – and both have come back saying the issue is in the theme.

Is it the case that these versions of the plugins are untested in your theme and I should revert to the bundled plugins? If so – then what is the point of me purchasing licenses for these plug ins?

    Kind regards,
    AndrewIP

    Hello,

please provide us with admin credentials for your site in private content.

Testimonials problem is not related to these plugins as it is implemented as part of a theme at the moment. We are doing our best to fix this feature.
To display testimonials right now please use Post Grid or Post slider elements of Visual Composer. Just select content type as “testimonials”.

    Regards,
    Stan Russell.

    Thank you for this.

However, when I use a post slider for my testimonials the headings and content do not render on the front end.
I have provided a link for you to see the result in the private content.

Additionally, when I save my settings in the slider in the admin, it does not save my settings.
    I choose:
display description (teaser/excerpt) and display title – and save.
Then when I go back into checking the settings they are not kept and it reverts to the default settings, which is no description selected and display title not checked.

Screenshot link in private content also.

There seems to be issue after issue after the latest update and it is compromosing my deadline to the client.

Stan, this also doesn’t address the additional layout issues as outlined in my request above, namely the google map not displaying in the footer on the home page.
Additionally, the newsletter pop up top link at the top right on the home page is not working either.
It is on all other pages.
Please assist as an urgent matter.

    Kind regards,
    Andrew

    Hello,

The issue with map and newsletter link has been fixed. Please check it.
You’re using old plugins. Please update them https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and check testimonials after that.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
