    Dear EigthTheme Team

I cannot get the language switcher to function -I have tried changing header type in the theme settings, as well as resetting the cache. Do you have any ideas why the links there only lead to ../#?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hello,

This is just an example that our theme can be multilingual using the plugin WPML http://wpml.org/. It’s fully compatible with the theme.

    Hi Eva,

thanks for your reply, but I think you missed what I was getting at (or I was unclear). We are using WPML already, but those language links don’t work! And even when I remove French from WPML, the FR link is still there. It is as if the Royal theme does not respond to changes made in WPML.
And even though we have a German translation of our root / front page, the link in the header is still pointing to x-medics.com/# instead of x-medics.com/de.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I don’t see language switcher on your site.
Please activate it and provide WP admin credentials in Private Content.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva

I had added a display: none attribute to the language section, in order to hide it as long as it wasn’t working. I have now removed the code from Custom CSS and the switcher is now visible again.

I have inserted the admin login in the private section.

Thanks for your help! We really need WPML to work correctly on our site, as translation into German and French are almost finished.

    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Eva,

I have posted support with WPML. But I have a hard time seeing how the issues are related.

I will get back to you once I have the error message removed.

Clearing the WPML cache made the correct languages appear, but now they are not “EN DE” but “English Deutsch”. The Royal Theme switcher format was much better, and would allow for more languages.

None of the other forum topics I found worked.

Ah, thanks Eva! Now I think we solved the selector issues.

    Best regards,
