Good Morning,

I would you to help me reduce the weight of our website configured with the Legenda theme.

http://www.statement-jewelry-designs.com site page contains only a third of the photographs which will be on it in the future for products, we see that each is duplicated 10 times.

For example: One original photograph upload of 1200×1200 is duplicated in 1024×1024, 800×800, 600×600, 500×700, 500×500, 300×300, 150×150, 90×90 and 75×75. The weight of the original photograph of 1200×1200 is 540kb and the others 9 photos are 296KB.

If we multiply this by the original 300 photographs that we will have, the result is an extra weight that is completely unacceptable because it slows the website down completely.

On the product pages we only use one photograph for each item.

Thus how can we reduce the weight of the images without affecting the functionality of the web? Why are the photos duplicated so many times? How can we reduce the number of duplicate photos?

Hello,

In your case you need to use some program to reduce the weight of the images.
Also please provide us with link where you have duplicated photos and wp-admin access.

Thank for yor quick answer Robert,

We will use a programan to reduce the weight, but not before we find out why exactly all the photos are being duplicated.

There is no need to enter our site as we ourselves cannot see any duplicated media. However, if we enter with one FTP programme like Filezilla, we can see that all the photos have been duplicated 10 times with different dimensions.

Please see the capture photo in private content.

The total weight of our website now with 100 photos is more than 5MB. Our website is impossibly slow as a result.

Why is Legenda duplicating each photo 10x? And how can we have only one per post or product, as in the ones we choose?

Hello,

Did you upload images with different dimensions earlier or changed them several times in Woocommerce settings?

We only upload the images with 1200×1200 for the product pages.

Also the photo for the Slide Show y some for the post with different sizes, but only one.
