    Hello all,

found the submit button, why is this button not available right away after login here and let’s you then enter the details? Or at least some info to go into the group to be able to submit a ticket…

Coming to my question: when setting up the child theme I receive this error when continuing:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

and there is no way to pass it unless I skip child theme installation. Even changing the child themes name completely is not working.

Now this error is known since 2 months according to my search I did on theme forest (Envato) as someone else had the same issue. However this is not described here in the forum although the person was requested to create a ticket here. (unless the title is so numb that no one will ever find it…)

So now I am stuck right after start…. I am just wondering, when an issue is known, why is it not fixed in todays release I downloaded to be on the latest stand? 🙁

Thanks for any support in this.
    Cheers

    Hi,

First, this is not a theme related issue. It is a common issue in all WordPress site.
Second, the reason for this is varies from your browser cache issue to configuration files.
Third, if you google it “wordpress Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” you will get results where you can see millions of users asked the same question in millions of theme support sites.

Solution : the ultimate solution for this is “hard clear your browser cache check”

if that does not help follow these steps : https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/fix-not-allowed-access-page-error-wordpress/

And, if you still persist the issue contact us back.

    Regards,

    Wrong answer,

Is this an answer to send any user away from your support platform, which is supposed to be here to help the user out?

Why are you not trying to help the user out? Because that is what a Help Desk platform is all about. You can Google that…

I have installed many WordPress themes, plugins and so fort, and this is the first time it appears and only with this Theme after installing the Child Theme and that is where the problem resides. Once the child theme get’s created, you get this error and when going back to the panel the Child Theme is created, but not under the main theme and the error comes up to install the main theme as the child theme cannot work without it.

And this problem was discussed 2 months ago on Envato market, but the solution was not completely described how exactly to solve it, and strangely I was not able to trace it down here as you requested that user there to post it here, so let me paste that conversation here for you.

So can you please be so kind and professional and look up how you resolved it, give me that answer so I can get on going and we all will happy after all…

Yes, I renamed the theme, uploaded it and then created a child theme from within the install wizard. So the child theme couldn’t find it’s main theme at that point (because it was renamed) and freaked out. I fixed it now.

    Hello,

Take our apologies if our support member gave you the wrong answer. We’ll try to avoid such situation in future. Yes, you really can get that error if you renamed parent theme and trying to install default xstore-child theme.

Is your problem solved? Do you need any other help?

P.S. We are working on site re-design, we hope that new design will be handier for users.

    Regards
