    Hello, @Stelio,

The error message you are seeing indicates that the developer role associated with your Instagram account is not sufficient to perform the action you are attempting to take.

To connect your Instagram account to your website, you need to have a developer account with Instagram. If you already have a developer account, make sure that your account has the appropriate permissions to perform the action you are attempting to take.

If you don’t have a developer account, you can sign up for one at the Instagram Developer site. Once you have a developer account, you can then create a new app and obtain the necessary credentials (such as the Client ID and Client Secret) to connect your Instagram account to your website.

It’s also worth noting that Instagram has made several changes to its API in recent years, including limiting access to certain features and data. Make sure that you have the necessary permissions to access the data or features you are attempting to use.

    Kind Regards,
    8Themes Team.

Thanks for your answer, but in the theme panel it doesn’t say that I have to have developer account, I just clicked on “Add Account” button as shown in this image:

    https://prnt.sc/wJT65vsZk1Ck

And it was the same way I connected earlier without any problem.

The error message in the screenshot above was when I chose to connect with the personal instagram account, the way I did other times and connected without any problem, see:

    https://prnt.sc/ItS8K-rbPjkp

When I choose to connect with the business account I get another error message saying that the application has been disabled or does not exist:

    https://prnt.sc/yJ05zhjEgy0W

I already had this connection loss problem other times and you fixed it, and I connected again and I never needed an instagram developer account, because if I needed to say I wouldn’t even use this feature of the theme, because it would be a lot of work for little benefit, and there are also plugins that make this connection easier.

If you can see my other tickets with this same problem, please.

    Hello, @Stelio,

    Thank you for your response.

Is your account personal or business?
Currently, we have a problem with business account connections, and we are working on solving this together with Facebook support.
If your account is personal, but you face the problem, it is caused by the security\visibility settings of your Instagram account.

    Kind Regards,

Instagram has 3 types of accounts: personal, professional (content creator) and business.

My account is configured as a professional one, even so I had managed to integrate it into the XStore by choosing the personal account option by clicking on the add account button. Now it is giving this error that I reported.

    Hello, @Stelio,

    Thank you for your response.

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the Instagram API. The error message you are receiving indicates that there is an issue with your developer role on the Instagram API platform. It is possible that your role may not have sufficient permissions to perform the action you are trying to take.

To resolve this issue, you may need to contact the Instagram API support team and request an update to your developer role. Alternatively, you may want to check if there are any updates or changes to the API that you need to be aware of, which may have caused the issue.

In the meantime, you can also try to troubleshoot the issue by checking if your access token is valid and if your API requests are formatted correctly. You can also try to test your API requests using a tool like Postman to see if you can get a successful response.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,

Honestly, I don’t understand anything anymore, you just told me that you are having problems with the integration with Instagram Business and you asked me what type of account I have, I replied that it is a professional account and I already told you in another answer that the integration was already done and working and that I do NOT have a developer account on Instagram, and I did NOT need a developer account to do the integration…

I also already said earlier that in the theme panel it doesn’t say that I have to have developer account, I just clicked on “Add Account” button as shown in this image:

    https://prnt.sc/wJT65vsZk1Ck

And it was the same way I connected earlier without any problem.
