In the product grid, my variable products are not shown while only simple products are shown.

Can you help me show both variable and simple products in the product grid, please?

    How I did this:
In the product grid – data source – List of IDs – Include Only – I put many products but only simple products are shown.

    Hello, WebDev,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query regarding the display of variable products in the product grid.

To ensure that both variable and simple products appear in your product grid, we would like to take a closer look at your current settings. It’s possible that there may be a filter or setting within the grid configuration that is causing only simple products to be displayed.

Could you please provide us with the URL of the page with products and temporary access to your website’s admin area? This will allow us to investigate the matter more thoroughly and make the necessary adjustments.

Alternatively, if you prefer to make the changes yourself, you may want to check the following:
    1. Ensure that the variable products you wish to display have been published and are not set to ‘hidden’ in the catalog.
    2. Verify that the “Variations As Simple Products (Beta)” option is disabled (navigate to the Theme Options, proceed to WooCommerce, then Shop, and finally to Products Design).
    3. Check if there are any additional filters applied to the product grid or additional plugins that might exclude variable products.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed, and do not hesitate to provide any additional information that you think might be helpful in resolving this issue.

We look forward to your response and are committed to helping you showcase all of your products seamlessly.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

The issue is that we want to display variations as simple products and we have a plugin for that by iconicwp. While it works well for products archive, the issue only happens on homepage grids. On homepage grids no variations are shown as simple products while its working well for product archives. And we have main parent variable product hidden. Can you please look into that and see if it can be fixed?

    Hi @WebDev,

We trust this message finds you well.

Our development team get back to you with some points:

    1. The layout and design for current preview link you shared is broken

That’s the test link to show you the variation product are displaying the Products Grid element.

    2. It seems that the Desktop and Mobile view have different logic to show variations I want to know what is the logic

You used another Product Carousel Element for the mobile version so the layout would a little bit different.

    3. At the end of day, we want to show only 1 variation in landing page. (In Shop view, we want to show all variations like the current setting. So don’t change anything in Shop view)

Can you confirm that you want to show the variation products on the Product Grid Element of home page only?

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

for #2, I understand the layout would be a little bit different, my question was “How different?” meaning what’s the “logic difference”?

    for #3, “NO”

As I explained in the video,

    1. In the product grid element of the home page: I only want to show 1 of the variations (e.g., imagine a variable has 3 variations, I want to show 1 of them only which is the cheapest price)

    2. In the shop view, we still want to show all variations. what you did was fine. so don’t touch the shop view.

I am sending a video again only for this issue to avoid any misunderstanding. It only takes 2 mins. Please check it out.

*I put the video in the private content area

    Dear WebDev,

We hope this message finds you well.

We are writing to inform you that our development team has successfully implemented the custom code on your website. However, we have encountered a 503 error on the home page, as evidenced by the following screenshot: https://prnt.sc/oqzN8xWpQ0Wl. It is worth noting that the custom code is functioning correctly on our local testing environments.

To address the 503 error, we kindly request that you reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to review the server logs. Specifically, they should check for issues related to:

    – Memory Limit
    – Execution Time
    – RAM & SSD Memory Capacity

Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Should you require any further assistance or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
