Importing Demo On Already Built Website - by IP

Hello,

I am planning to get XStore for all my new websites along with the old ones i have.

When you start to import a demo it says to start fresh and do the WordPress database reset.

The message; 1. It is recommended to run import on fresh WordPress installation (You can use WordPress Database Reset plugin).

Is there a way to import the framework only such as the layout for the product pages etc?

I would like to keep the databases the same such as the pages, accounts, everything in the orders and customer section etc.

Hello, @IP,

Actually, Yes. Importing the demo will override all the existing content. But as you said that you want to import only some pages, and sections of other demos of our theme without resetting the database and other site content so for this you can use the XSTORE Studio feature of our theme. Further, While importing a demo it also, allows you to select the specific content of the demo you want to import see the image: https://i.is.cc/kAzLydM.png you can also, check this feature as well. The choice is yours now.

So lets say i want to keep the users, Woo Commerce (orders – products etc), pages etc and everything like that

How can I do that?

I would like the new website to “look” like the theme but have the old things such as orders, products etc.

Hello, @IP,

Then I suggest you to simply create the new page and then use the XStore Studio feature on it: https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/148-xstudio-feature-of-xstore-wordpress-theme check the page you want to import is available in XStore Studio and then simply Import it and it will work for you.

Otherwise, Please export your site data such as: (users, Woo Commerce (orders – products, etc), pages, etc and everything like that) via any means, and then reset your WordPress and then start from scratch, Import the new demo you want on your site and then again import the exported data on your site.
