    Hi,

The 500 error means that there is some Fatal error in PHP script or on the server side. You can turn on debug mode in WordPress – https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ to find out what error appears on your site, it will point you in the right direction what needs to be fixed.

Also, you can contact the hosting provider and ask to give you a server error log to check what is wrong.

    Regards,
    Hung PD

    Hello,

Now the server company is saying it’s these 2 plugins that just won’t update, please help. If I buy the Premium “WPBakery Page Builder plugin” can you please help update my site please? And make sure my theme is updated as well?

    Plugins that won’t update:
    – XStore Core
    – Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder

I’ve been looking for support for this issue “Error 500” for months now, it’s just getting worse by the day. You are my last resort, please help.

    Thank you,
    Colleen

    Hello,

You don’t need to buy the Premium license for the WPBakery to get update. Just provide us with WP Dashabord username because you sent the password only.
Also, we need FTP host, FTP username and FTP pass, we don’t need access to your cPanel, only FTP and WP Dashboard. Also, could you, please, provide us with server error logs? It will help us to find out the reason of the 500 error.

    Hello,

    WP Dashboard access is ok.
All the bundled plugins are up to date. There is no plugins to update.
We prefer to work with the FTP to avoid problems. And don’t forget to provide server error logs to find out what causes the 500 error. Do you still get it?

    Hello,

You did not provide us with your cPanel user to allow us to try if it’s possible to use it for the FTP.
If you do not know how to create FTP contact with your hosting provider, they will help you. Also, ask your hosting provider to give you server error log and share it with us.

    Hello,

I found the error log at the WP directory. I would recommend you to contact your hosting provider. Almost all the errors are not related to our theme files but to server configuration. The only one error that got to XStore core plugin files
[07-Jul-2020 20:13:03 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '>' in wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/app/models/customizer/theme-options/global/callbacks.php on line 42 as a rule is related to out of date version of the PHP. So, ask hosting support to check the error log and fix the issues.

    Thank you,

I’ve asked our server company to raise our PHP to 7.4 which is recommended but they say they don’t have that capability yet? What am I suppose to do about that? Is that what you’re talking about?

Also, you mentioned there was at least one error with an XStore plugin? Can you please help identity that and help fix please?

    Thank you,
    Colleen

    Hello,

Ask your hosting provider to update the PHP version to 7.2 or 7.3, it should fix this error http://prntscr.com/tg8pie
Also, ask to check the error log and fix issues that are mentioned there.

    Hello,

I’ve been dealing with Bluehost for months on this issue, they say now it’s one of my plugins but I’ve had a developer work on this and he can’t find any codding issues. I am noticing the XStore plugins are still not updating so my gut is telling me it’s something with that? Our PFP is maxed at 7.3.19, they do not offer the 7.4 yet. But your theme says it should work on 7.0 or higher so how can that be the only problem?

I’m still receiving Error 500 – please help, as I’ve paid for 12 month tech support and you keep insisting it’s the server people, they keep insisting it’s your theme and I (the customer) is stuck in the middle without a back end to work on??

Please help, please help, please help.

    Thank you,
    Colleen

    Hello,

We understand your frustration and do really want to help you. But your 500 problem is related to a few things:
    1) Incorrect server configuration that caused errors in our Core plugin (for example low PHP version caused the following error http://prntscr.com/ti77la because only PHP 7.0 and greater supports <=> http://prntscr.com/ti78lw ). At this moment your PHP version is ok and there are no such errors in the server error log.
    2) Error of zlib output compression https://prnt.sc/ti7d0j This also is related to your server configuration. Ask your hosting provider to zlib.output_compression = Off
Let me know if it helps.
