I had a nice footer from the Organic 2 variation of the Xstore theme. I still have the static block for footer and can translate that but no footer is shown on page or XStore customizer. Where did it go? Can I get it back somehow? I have not intentionally deleted it. And I can’t find info how to build a similar one if I cannot get the earlier one back.. It had a logo, a few hyperlinks, social media icons and newsletter signup.. I did not customize it other ways, just added a language selector which worked fine earlier.
Do you have some tips please?

I also seem to have lost now the home page – if I go to edit it with Elementor – I don’t get any of the contents that I had just a less than an hour ago. I have cleared server cache but I have not removed the whole page contents..

    Hello,

    1) go to Appearance > Widgets > make sure that Static block widget with the necessary static block is there for all the languages.

    2) Provide us with WP Dashboard access to your site to check the issue with the home page.

    Regards

Hi, I was able to recover the home page when disabling everything else but Elementor. (I did see double copy of the page, that I did not create myself, maybe some Elementor error, because it thought that page is only draft, and not published, but I saw the published one and renamed it, so it is now shown)
I will now go and check the Static block that you indicated.

Hi, can you send more info please on the Static blocks, I dont know which one I should be looking at, I did not actively check the Footer earlier, so which one is the correct one? I think page looks similar in both Finnish and ‘English. Footer was earlier shown in both languages.

    Hello,

Probably some Static block for the organic footer or something, don’t know if you changed the block name while editing it. So, check the static blocks you have, then find out which one is for the footer you had and then go to Appearance > Widgets and add that static block to footer.
Here is video tutorial on how to create footer https://youtu.be/gY-x4m47Duo
It’s for the WPBakery but you can do the same using Elementor, just enable Static blocks in the Elementor settings https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/support/static-blocks/

If you use WPML then duplication of the pages could be related to this.

Oh great thank you – I was not familiar how to link the static blocks to areas, and the Footer was actually called Footer col 1. Apparently this link has been somehow broken and now I fixed it. It seemed also that I cannot edit the Footer with Elementor (getting 404 error). That might be a problem similar to my home page, I will take a look.
.. This is madness – I removed all plugins, just Elementor and XStore to enable Static blocks. But still I cannot edit any existing footer or other static block with Elementor. I can create and publish a new one, but it does not show, when viewing it gives 404 error..and editing in Elementor does not work. Any tips? Maybe I should report this to Elementor support? XStore customizer can see the static block (earlier footer) and I can see it on my page, just can’t edit it or view it..

    Hello,

    1) Go to Settings > Permalinks > choose Post name type and save the settings http://prntscr.com/urzap4 the try to edit Static Block after that.
    2) If it does not help then contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the SubstituteMaxLineLength to 10M or 20M and try to edit Static Block after that.

Oh thank you for bearing with me. Permalinks helped. I had the Post name -type earlier also set, selected some other and reselected this one and saved. Now Elementor can also edit the footers. Well, learned a lot on how to create footers, thanks to you.
