Very happy with your theme and everything loaded and started to edit pages. the shop page does not load….just a elementor icon in the middle of blank page.

I can view the shop page with products and even go to the website on browser and can open the shop page. just can not edit in Elementor.

I even reset WordPress and deleted all pages and started from scratch.shop page still does not load with elementor.

so there must be some kind of error somewhere that every page works except the shop page.

I tried resetting cache pages and create new pages in woo…..still not fixed.

Hopefully you have a simple solution…….there must be a problem in the web files that when I reset does not change?

    Please help

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

By default settings for the Shop page come from Theme Options > WooCommerce.
To be able to edit the Shop page using Elementor, please follow this article – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-products-archive-builder-with-elementor/ .

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

Thank you Rose for the help.
    to recap
I can not edit the shop page with this theme.
I can open the view on WordPress pages and see the shop.
I can go to the website in a browser and go to shop page and it is there.
on other themes I can edit the shop page with Elementor.
because I could not edit the shop page, I assumed something was wrong ad reset my WordPress and even went and reset everything the database and completely started with nothing on WordPress.
Now you send a solution which has me going to the products archive.

Is this the only way from here on that I can edit the shop page?

I can not find the shop page that I can see in a view…….I want to use what is already loaded.

I can select a new shop page from the examples…..but whatever I pick I will have to edit the shop page from this products archive area?

I will never be able to edit with Elementor using the pages and open the page that way?

Why would you design the theme this way…..I spent hours in frustration thinking something was wrong……until you responded why would I think I needed to use the xstore builder?

thanks for any feedback you can supply to my questions.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and for your detailed message.

We truly appreciate your patience and the time you’ve taken to explain your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t work as expected, and we’re here to help clarify the situation.

    To address your concerns:

The Shop page in WooCommerce is a dynamic page that displays your product archive. By default, WooCommerce does not allow direct editing of this page using page builders like Elementor, as it is controlled by the WooCommerce template system. This behavior is consistent across most themes, including XStore.

With the XStore theme, the correct way to customize the Shop page layout and design is through the Theme Options or by using the XStore Builder (Products Archive Builder). This tool allows you to visually edit and customize the layout of your product archive pages, including the Shop page.

    To answer your specific questions:

    – Yes, editing the Shop page through the Products Archive Builder is the recommended and supported method with the XStore theme.
    – The Shop page you see in the WordPress Pages section is a placeholder and cannot be edited directly with Elementor due to WooCommerce limitations.
    – You can choose a pre-built Shop layout from our demos, and then customize it using the Products Archive Builder.
    – Unfortunately, editing the Shop page directly with Elementor as a static page is not possible due to the dynamic nature of WooCommerce’s product archive system.

We understand that this may differ from your experience with other themes, and we apologize for any confusion this has caused. Our design approach is intended to provide greater flexibility and control over the layout of your product archives through the XStore Builder, which is specifically tailored for WooCommerce.

We truly value your feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our theme and documentation to better support our users.

If you need any assistance using the Products Archive Builder or have further questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know — we’re happy to help.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
