I am unable to activate Xstore Core, which is preventing me from installing any demos

As soon as I activate the Xstore core plugin I get a critical error msg and the wordpress dashboard crash, so i have to log on Cpanel and deactivate the xstore core plugin in order to make worldpress dashboard to work again.
Apparently I need a different version of the plugin in order to make it work.
