I added a video to the single product page on my website, but the video hides after the page loads. I don’t know why this is happening, and I have set no default color and size in the variations. Please check and resolve this issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello, @Daniyal,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

We would like to inform you that we have temporarily activated the Xstore parent theme on your website for diagnostic purposes. Upon review, we are pleased to report that the parent theme is functioning correctly without any issues.

It appears that the difficulties you are experiencing are due to the customizations made in your child theme’s additional code. Please note that our support does not extend to issues caused by custom modifications to the child theme.

We kindly suggest consulting with your website developer to address and rectify these custom code issues.

Thank you for your understanding and for reaching out to us for assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hi Xstore Support team,

Regarding the custom code, it was added by your support team. I have removed that custom code from the child theme, but the video issue is still persisting.

Please check and resolve the issue with the video on the single product page, as it hides after the page loads.

    Thank you.

    Hi Xstore Support team,

I noticed that the layout changed slightly, and I guess it was because your team activated the parent theme. However, it seems to be fixed now.

Has the video issue on the single product page been resolved?

    Hi Xstore Support team,

I noticed that the WP Rocket plugin is deactivated, which I assume might have been done by your team. Could you please confirm this and let me know if it was necessary for resolving the issues?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

    Dear Daniyal,

We have noticed that your website currently displays two sections that include the product gallery, title, and add-to-cart form. It appears that there may be a conflict involving the Swipe library due to these duplicate sections.

Could you kindly remove one of these sections and clear all cache data, then verify if the issue persists?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Hello @Daniyal,

Thank you for bringing the issue with your Single Product page to our attention. After conducting our tests, we discovered that the problem is caused by the active Variation Gallery option (see screenshot: https://prnt.sc/UOpRU0oAQWfl). When this option is disabled, the video does not hide on full page load. However, we understand that you prefer to keep this option active and have the bug fixed.

To explain further, the current gallery, including the video, is replaced upon full page load because a product variation is triggered. When this happens, the variation gallery replaces the main gallery, which includes the video. In your specific case, we noticed that you have two sections with almost identical content in different locations (see screenshot: https://prnt.sc/J4bzZVUZn58g). This makes it more challenging for us to find a fix.

We suggest optimizing your Single Product content by using Elementor Containers (https://elementor.com/help/container-element/) instead of Sections. This offers several benefits:
    1. The client won’t load the same elements twice on the page, which are currently shown/hidden by CSS.
    2. It will speed up the Single Product page load time.
    3. Containers allow for reordering elements on different devices (e.g., if the product title is the third element on a PC, you can order it to be the first on a tablet or mobile device).

If you agree to migrate your Single Product layout from Sections to Containers, we recommend implementing this change first. Once this is done, please contact us again, and we can proceed with addressing the video gallery issue. This approach allows us to find a more efficient solution rather than adding additional code for re-rendering each gallery on the page, which can be resource-intensive.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

    Thanks for the response.

Actually, we didn’t select Elementor containers because:

We needed two different layouts for the single product page—one for mobile and one for desktop. This is because, in the mobile view, we want the title, reviews, and price below the product gallery, which required creating two layouts.

    Containers don’t allow for a full-width banner.

If these issues can be resolved with containers, we are willing to migrate.

    Dear @Daniyal,

We have reviewed your queries regarding the customization of your webpage. To achieve a full-width page layout, you may select the ‘Elementor Full-width page layout’ option within the Single Product Builder. For further details, please refer to this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/DjFGx0_QB6bR. Subsequently, you can adjust your containers to stretch to the full width of the window or opt for a boxed layout by modifying the appropriate settings as shown here: https://prnt.sc/p42h6Op1VM0o.

Regarding your request for varying the positions of elements across different devices, this can be addressed as previously discussed. You will need to select the appropriate order for the elements on each device via the device-specific settings, as illustrated in this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/7bCkIyXS29mX.

We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with the new Container-based structure and the options available upon its activation. This exploration will aid in better understanding and utilizing the features effectively.

Should you require further clarification or if you are uncertain about achieving the desired outcomes, you have the option to create a separate Single Product Layout in the ‘layouts’ section. This can be specifically applied to products within a unique category for testing purposes, as compared to the older version. For an example of this setup, please view: https://prnt.sc/AcOQUKyU8lwo and https://prnt.sc/yQJJNOH03cNk. Also, you can build the layout on your staging web-site or localhost and use import/export template then if the result is appropriate for you -> https://prnt.sc/LmdAqUcwcMRT.

Please take your time to review these configurations. If you have any more questions or need additional assistance, feel free to contact us.

    Dear @Daniyal,

Thank you for reaching out and providing the screenshot to help us understand the issue you are experiencing.

Upon reviewing the screenshot you shared, we did not observe any problems related to stretching -> https://prnt.sc/0MJhA5bJ7GgY. It is worth noting that a similar query has been addressed by Elementor support in the past. They have provided a detailed article that might be helpful in resolving the issue you are encountering. You can access the article here: https://elementor.com/help/full-width-not-working/.

Could you please confirm if you have cleared your browser and plugin cache before testing? This step is crucial for ensuring that you are viewing the most recent version of your webpage.

If the issue persists, or if the visual appearance of the banner on the homepage appears different, could you kindly provide us with the steps to reproduce the issue? This information will greatly assist us in further diagnosing and resolving the problem.

We look forward to your response and are here to assist you further.

    Hi Richard,

How are you? As per your suggestion, I consolidated the two single product page layouts into one for both desktop and mobile. I also migrated to Elementor containers. However, the video issue still persists. This seems to be a theme fault, and I am having to make too many changes. Please, I request you to sort out this issue.

    Thanks.

    Dear @Daniyal,

We appreciate your efforts in implementing our suggestions and successfully updating your single product layout to a more optimized structure. Thank you for your cooperation.

However, we encountered an issue when attempting to connect to your FTP using the credentials previously provided, as the connection was unsuccessful. Could you kindly verify and provide us with the correct FTP access details? This will enable us to investigate and address your request more efficiently.

Additionally, we recommend temporarily disabling your CDN while we implement our changes. This step will help ensure that no cached files interfere with the process.

Thank you for your attention to these matters. We look forward to your prompt response.

    Dear @Daniyal,

I hope this message finds you well. We are pleased to inform you that we have implemented the code enhancements on your website as discussed. We kindly request that you review the updated functionalities at your earliest convenience.

For your reference, we have recorded a short video demonstrating the current results, which can be viewed here: https://we.tl/t-52r9o5eR4s. Please note that the video disappears after product variation changes and does not reappear. Regrettably, we are currently unable to resolve this issue and restore the video after the variations are reset.

    Hey Richard,

Thanks for the support. Could you please let me know what changes you have made to my website, where you added the code, and what code was added?

From a user’s point of view, if they visit the product page, they wouldn’t expect the video to disappear after selecting a variation. This is a major drawback of the theme. It is a basic feature to be able to add pictures and videos in variations, which is available in every Shopify theme but lacking in WooCommerce themes. This is why WooCommerce is not as successful. I really liked this theme, but it should have this basic feature, and your team should fix this bug so that the video appears regardless of the selected variation.

I hope technology continues to grow and these basic features are included in this theme. In conclusion, I regret that this basic eCommerce feature is missing. Shopify is much better than WooCommerce.

    Thank you.

    Dear @Daniyal,

We hope this message finds you well.

We greatly value the feedback and suggestions from our clients, and we strive to accommodate your needs whenever feasible. We are pleased to inform you that we have considered your suggestion regarding the retention of the main video in the general product gallery while switching between product variations. Our team has worked diligently to implement this feature, and we believe it now functions as you requested.

You are invited to review the changes on your product page. Additionally, we have prepared a demonstration video to showcase the current functionality, which can be viewed here: https://we.tl/t-a5UAmfluUc.

The modifications have been applied to the following files:
    – xstore/js/theme/variationGallery.js
    – xstore/framework/theme-init.php

Please rest assured that these changes will be included in the next theme update, ensuring that you will not lose any of the enhancements.

    Hi Richard,

How are you? Sorry for the late reply. First of all, thank you for making these changes. I really appreciate that you understood my problem, and I’m happy that I achieved the variation feature with your support.

One last thing: can you please check the add to cart button on the single product page? When we click the add to cart button, it takes a long time to load, which is affecting the user experience.

Another issue is with the image gallery on the product page. There is no option for an infinite loop in the gallery. Users have to click for the next image, and if there are only four images, the next image doesn’t load, which Google counts as a dead click.

    Thank you.
