Huge performance issues. Pages are loaded several times by request

Hello,
Despite of all my tries to improve website performance, I don’t get good results.
Website is hosted in a VPS where I can customize almost everything but, nothing works.

Last time I observed that when a URL is requested it is loaded three times with the parameter et_ajax=true

Do you know why? Can you help me?

Hello @javi_web,

Could you please clarify which actions are required to check the performance issues? We checked the live site, and it does not appear to load slowly.

However, after analyzing your ‘et_ajax’ queries, we found that these requests originate from the ajax-loading widgets located in your sidebar (see https://prnt.sc/XP_s0P299EVU). These widgets load either on scroll or during the full page load, and you currently have three such ajax widgets, which are generating the et_ajax requests.

You may try disabling these settings and then check the performance again.

Hello Jack,
Thank you for your answer.

No extra actions are needed, only visiting the URL. In Developers tools tab, you can see three ajax requests. You can check that each of the request get a full page code as result. Is it the expected behaviour?

Why ajax requests are made even before user click to apply a filter?

Hello @javi_web,

In your case, those AJAX settings are not useful because the widgets in the sidebar are displayed in an off-canvas area. Please disable those settings and check again.

The AJAX loading works when scrolling to the element, and applying conditions in scripts to check whether the element is located in an off-canvas sidebar (which may also be configured as static on some devices) is unnecessary and not good code practice that we are trying to avoid in our products.

Hello Jack,
Please, find in the private content field another example.

I have tested with and without been logged. I have disabled AJAX preload check. Same problem.

Have I forgotten something?

You may also disable the Ajax lazy load feature for other widgets in your sidebar widget areas, if any are configured there.
