How to use the short code for product category.

Hello, I’m not sure how to do this. I want to have the product category slider with just 3 of my many categories showing.

1) Is this possible using the widget for Product Categories?

2) Is it possible using the short code?
I’ve tried inserting this into a text area in Visual Composer.
[etheme_products title=” ” ids=”” skus=”” type=”slider ” products=” ” limit=” ” columns=” ” categories=”102, 105, 107″ desktop=”” notebook=”” tablet=”” phones=””]

The category numbers are from the URL id # when I click on a category.

What do I have wrong?

Hello,

You can use Product Categories element in Visual Composer and select display type “Slider” in the settings.
Also it can be done with shortcode.
Do you have problems with slider display?
Please provide us with wp-admin panel credentials in Private Content.

The slider display is working, but I”m not sure how to customize it.

1) If I use the Product Categories in Visual Composer, it pulls ALL of my product categories. Can I customize it so that it shows only select categories?

2) Because I couldn’t figure out how to customize the Visual Composer element, I tried with short code. I also do not know how to customize with the short code. I was attempting to show 3 selected categories and I have 10 categories total. I clicked on a category and looked at the URL. In the URL there was an id= area, I used that id # in the short code, separated by commas. It didn’t work – so I wanted to ask what the correct way is to do what I’m trying to do.

What would I need to change, remove or add to this short code?

Hello,

If you use Products Categories element from Visual Composer you can set “Number of categories” how many categories to show. Unfortunately there is no possibility to select ids what categories to show, it’s available for products ids only.

That is what i suspected regarding the Visual Composer area.

Using the short code, however, can I choose what categories to show?

Please note that I tried to list them on the categories area of the provided short code.

Hello,

This way “categories” value displays products from specific category by category id, not the category itself.
