How to remove plus/minus buttons on product page?

Hi, I am using an additional plug-in to allow decimal quantities and changed the selection of quantities to a drop down menu. The plug-in should (and has when used before) hidden the plus/minus buttons, however doesn’t seem to work with Xstore. Could you provide any insight into this?

Hello,

Do you plan to use it for all the products or only for some of them?
If that drop–down will be for all the products then add the below code to Theme Options > Custom CSS to hide the +/-

div.quantity > .minus, td.quantity > .minus, div.quantity > .plus, td.quantity > .plus { display: none; }

Hi, thank you for your response, unfortunately I do need the website to be more flexible so some products will have the decimals in the order quantity and others will not. My plan is to use the premium plugin called ‘WPC Product Quantity for WooCommerce’ which allows the decimals to be added to some products and not others. This plug-in has an option to remove the +/- buttons but it doesn’t seem to work with xstore. Can you advise why it doesnt work with xstore?

Hi,

We do not give a guaranty for full theme compatibility with all existing 3rd party plugins. Sometimes, not always, you need additionally customize the theme or plugin to make them work together. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for the author to make the theme compatible with all the existing plugins and additional customization is outside the scope of our support.

Hi, I can understand this, however this is critical to my store, I bought this as I do not know anything about manually changing code etc. Can you please help to advise what is in the this theme that means I can not over the +/- buttons – I would have thought this was a woocommerce basic feature, so unsure why the theme would have changed this.
If I can not make this work, I am not able to set up a website using this theme. There is now way I would have envisaged it not working working with the one plug- in that I absolutely need for my needs so I really appreciate your help.

Hi, thank you for you reply, as I said in an earlier message, it is only for some of the listings.

The third party premium plug-in allows this selection and hides the +/- but for some reason this isn’t working with this theme and I dont really understand why as this is a standard woocommerce feature.

Hi, thank you, I need to provide an email to set up a new user, is there one I can use? Otherwise I guess I could use my email as I can add the user name and password into the private area.

Apologies for not progressing this sooner, I was focused on some other issues.

Please note what I’m really looking for is the plug-in to work with the theme, ie when selected to remove the +/- symbols on the product page, cart etc they they are gone, but of course they are still there by default if this option is not selected in the plug-in. I have different products, some need the plug in, others don’t which the premium version of this plug-in allows but I’m not comfortable purchasing it if it isn’t compatible with the theme.

The plug in is ‘W’PC Product Quantity for WooCommerce’

Hello,

Check now. I have added some custom CSS to Theme Options > Custom CSS to hide the +/- only if the plugin applies it’s select for the q-ty, so don’t think that you will have the problem with the pro version.

Hi, I have started to use the plug-in you helped to make compatible with the xstore theme so I can sell fractions of a whole unit.

I have found that the pricing is quite confusing – I seel fabric and price it per metre. However I want to sell a quarter of a metre and half metres. The price on the product page stays a the price per metre. I would be much better if I could add the price that the customer would pay depending on the quantity chosen.

I’m pretty sure this is a woocommerce thing and not the theme, but I was just wondering if you can come across this before and if there may be a simple solution.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we don’t have options to manage prices because it’s plugin territory. So, you need to contact WooCommerce support https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/ or support of that plugin about this.
We’ll be able to help you only in case it works with the default theme but you face issues with our theme.
