    Hi,

I’ve customised the theme a little using the custom CSS file and a few plugins. I’ve backed everything up also. How do I install the latest update without losing all my hard work. A step-by-step or line-by-line instruction would be very handy. The theme is fantastic and I’d love to see the new features but I’d hate to lose the unique look I’ve achieved.

    Thanks in advance,

    L

    Hello,

Have you modified the original theme files or a child theme?
If they are original files then you need to move all changes in the child theme.
So when updating the theme nothing will be lost.

I’ve only edited the custom.css file and the settings in my plugins.

So do I copy in all the files, or just the ones in the wp-content folder?

    Thanks for replying,

    L

    Hello,

If original theme files weren’t touched then you won’t lose your modifications. Just follow the instruction described in our documentation: https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/upgrade .
custom.css file won’t be overwritten. But make a backup before to be sure you’re safe.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
