    Hello 8theme team!

On most websites when we visit them, a popup comes which says allow or deny cookies.

Is there any section on the X-Store panel which allows us to do this? or is this something we would need a 3rd party plugin in?

Also, once the cookies are “activated” – how do we, the website owner view these cookies statistics? Do we require some sort of analytics software/plugin/3rd party program?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your inquiry.

Please check the available settings in Theme Options > GDPR & Cookies.
Also, read this article – https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/152-cookies

Should you require additional settings or detailed cookies statistics, we recommend deactivating our current option and opting for a third-party plugin instead. For specific recommendations on which plugin to choose, please consult with WordPress support.

Once you have the cookie consent mechanism in place, tracking the statistics related to cookies typically requires analytics software. Many website owners use tools like Google Analytics, which can provide insights into user behavior and consent. However, please ensure that you comply with all relevant privacy laws and regulations, such as the GDPR if you are dealing with users from the European Union, when using such analytics tools.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Rose,

thanks for the details! very much appreciated.

oh okay, so basically the cookies are connected with 3rd party platforms such as google analytics (the main player in the market) etc.?

    thanks in advance!

    Hello,

    Indeed, your observation is correct.
The matter in question is not related to the theme, and as such, we are unable to provide additional information. However, we encourage you to seek the necessary details online.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
