Hi all. I am using the Sneaker Demo and used Loco Translate to successfully import German for Theme and Core. However, the translation is inconsistend, even though i find the strings already translated in Loco Translate.

    1. Generally, where can i edit the pages or “popups” when i click in my header on Cart or Wishlist. Did not find it. Not translation related, just edit the Buttons Color and so on.

    2. Is there a way to translate these fully on my own? I am using Polylang, that works great so far. For Pages and Templates i just click on the “+” and add a german translation, does that work for these too? I.E. for the XStore Header Builder its no problem, just added a transaltion in Templates and in the Header Builder i get two Headers, one English other German.

    3. Very short description: What is the difference between Theme and Core Translation for XStore? I used Loco to translate both, but is the Core translation just for the Admin/Backend or also for strings on the pages?

    4. Somehow the translation is inconsitent, even though the strings are in Loco Translate. See attached images. What can the reason be for that? Tried with several browsers, can’t be browser caching..

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

1/ Loco Translate > Plugins > XStore Core plugin > edit translation.
Header Builder > edit template > Cart > Text https://prnt.sc/50yc4JMubzXk

2/ We have clients who are successfully using Polylang on their websites.

3/ Please note that the theme and the plugin are distinct components. The Core plugin provides additional functionality for the XStore theme, such as Portfolio, Testimonials, Static Blocks, and more.

4/ We’ve disabled “Remove query strings from static resources” for you.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

Hi and thanks for your fast a great help!

To point 4/, did you do anything else to make the translation for the popups working? I tried on my live site to disable “Remove query strings from static resources” in XStore -> Speed Optimization. But the text “No products in the wishlist.” which is translated in Xstore Core Plugin to german, is still not translated on the live site. On the dev site, it works now, yes. But is that the only thing you changed to make it work?

I have also disabled “Menu Cache” and “Static Block Cache” beacuse it seems you deactivated them on dev site, but still its not translated on the live site.

Hi again, sorry Alex Carter, i really don’t want to bug you and i know i am pain meanwhile. But i don’t know what i am supposed to do there. The string is already translated, synced and saved. The string is also already translated in the file i got from your GlotPress site xstore-core-de_DE.po. Loco succesfully translates other strings from this file like the user sign in, but somehow skips the wishlist and cart.
You fixed that somehow on the dev site. (Sorry, my live site runs on the same public ip as the coming soon site, thats why its not reachable…)

xstore-core-de_DE.jpg: Here are the translated strings, what else can i do there? Sorry i don’t get it.
thats_what_needs_to_be_translated_by_loco.jpg: These strings i am looking for to translate.

Please see new info in private area. This is the live site. It would be very nice if you could tell me what was the reason that Loco did not work. The last time, it was the dev site and i could not find out what you did to make it work…

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

To translate the currently untranslated strings, it seems that the .pot files may need to be regenerated. For this, we kindly request FTP access.

For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team
