how do i add labels on products – like “new”, “on sale ” and etc.

Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop elements > Sale & Out of Stock > Enable “Sale” Label. We don’t have New label and you may look for an additional plugin to implement this, for example, https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-product-labels-for-woocommerce/ or https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-advanced-product-labels/
