I translate the content of my website to Danish using Loco Translate in order to serve my Danish customers. However, when i update the theme, it resets to English and I have to translate it all back to Danish once again.
Is there a way of preserving the translations when updating?

Translation files of the theme should be placed in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder, with correct names, as mentioned here –

After every update, you need to synchronize translation – Sometimes new strings are added, and only after synchronization, you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. Not always, but some strings can be missing after the sync and you need to find and translate them one more time, this is independent of us and relates to WP functionality. Also, do a backup of all the files before any update –
