Hi there. I’m new here and this is my first post.

I’m just starting to customize my site and I’m running into the homepage repeating itself below the slider. I’m sure it’s a simple setting somewhere as I haven’t messed with the code at all. But, I just can’t find the setting to correct it. Can you help me?

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello,

I don’t see duplicated content, only slider has double arrows.
Please update Revolution Slider plugin to the latest version. You can download it here https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    THanks Jack.

I realized that the repeating section on the homepage just keeps happening on the customizer view – not on my actual site. Weird. Sometimes, it repeats. Sometimes it clears itself up. lol.

Thanks for pointing out the slider fix. I’ll update the plugin.

    Thank you. 🙂

Hey Jack. How do I update the revolution slider without losing my existing slider files? Normally, I just click “update plugin” on WP.

Do I just upload the new files to WP dashboard that I downloaded from 8theme? and then delete the old version?

I just tried to upload the revslider from the files I downloaded from that link you gave me above and I got this:

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: revslider.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

    Plugin install failed.

Ok, nevermind the post just above. I accidentally moved the file before uploading it.

anyway, now I get the failed message that says the files already exist.

If I replace the revslider files via ftp, will my slides I created remain? I’m relatively new at this so I just don’t want to have to rebuild the slides I’ve been working on.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

Your slides will remain. You just need to overwrite the existing revslider folder in wp-content/plugins directory with a new version.
Don’t delete the current folder, just overwrite it.

We always recommend to create back up before any update.
    Please do this.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
