Home page Works but when you click on a product it goes to a white page

    When you navigate to my site, the home page functions as normal, but when you try and click on a product you get taken to a blank (white) screen.

    When you go to the products (via dashboard) you get an error starting with;

    “Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Invalid product….. ” and so on.

    I have just updated my theme and have tried installing back ups too but my site still does not work.

    What should I do?

    Hello,

    Go to Appearance > Themes > install and activate Storefront theme – official WC theme and check if this problem persists when default theme is activated.
    Try to disable 3-rd party plugins. Then check.
    Let us know the result and provide wp-admin access in Private Content.

    Hi Rose,

    Things just got worse. My entire site is just a white screen now, but only when it is a full screen. There are some images that show when it is restored down.

    Hello,

    When I disabled all 3rd-party plugins, the site got working http://prntscr.com/ewb57b http://prntscr.com/ewb5as.
    Now I’ve activated them back. You can deactivate them one by one to find the needed plugin.

    Hi Rose, thank you for your reply but it is incorrect. I have tried that. I can see from your screen shot that your window is not maxamised. When you maxamise your screen it will be a blank white screen. I am sure of it, please try and see for yourself.

    I’ve checked http://prnt.sc/ewc7pg and it seems to works fine.
    Try to clear cache and then check.
    What browser and browser version do you use?

    Yes it is working now. Thank you.

    But there are a whole host of problems popping up through out the site. A few examples:

    1. When I scroll down and the menu bar minimizes, I suddenly get a message in the bar saying:
    “SET YOUR MAIN MENU IN APPEARANCE > MENUS”
    2. When you click on a single product, the pictures of the product all show up. It should be a single image that you can scroll through with a light box.
    3. The entire Home page is not working as it was. Where has all my work for it gone?
    4. The Footer is not as it was, where has all my work gone?
    5. If I try and edit with visual composer, the edit menus for the blocks do not display correctly.
    6. The shopping cart looks cheap and has a rad background now.
    7. When you view the site on a phone and click on the menu, the text and background are nearly the same colour

    I can go on. There is a whole host of problems now. Do I have to rebuild my entire site?

    Hello,

    1, 5. Please provide screenshots.
    2. Theme Options > Single Product Page http://prntscr.com/ewehsv
    3, 4. As I see, you have 2 Home page http://prntscr.com/eweizd http://prntscr.com/ewej80. What exactly do you mean? Did you use 3-rd party plugins in work on Home page and Footer? Your Footer area in Widgets is empty http://prntscr.com/ewemtq, but you have footer static block, please read documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/0_footer
    6. Go to Theme Options > Header Settings > Top cart icon, Top cart icon size
    7. http://prntscr.com/eweq5a > http://prntscr.com/eweq8o also you can add this code in Theme Options > Custom css to change mobile menu font color:

    .close-mobile-nav.close-block.mobile-nav-heading, .et-mobile-menu li a, .mobile-nav-heading, .mobile-nav .links li a {
        color: white;
    }

    You can try to use some 3-rd party plugin, but you need to test it compatible with our theme.
    Also, before update any plugin (in this case woocommerce http://prntscr.com/eweveb) you need to be sure that theme and other plugins that you use are compatible with the new version.

    Hi Rose,

    This has been a functioning site for years, and now it is as if evertyign has been reset. Luckily the products and pages are still there, but all the design work needs to be redon.

    I am just going to have to put in time and do it, which is a frustration to say the least.

    The major issue now is issue one (above). I have attached a screen shot of the problem.

    I also added the CSS for the mobile menu, but it is still very hard to read.

    Please, don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process.
