Header & Footer Errors since update

I have updated to V8 on my staging site and the header and footer have changed, now showing two logos (on desktop & mobile) and pushing menu onto two lines. The footer is also much longer. You can see the difference between live and staging sites – http://www.swankypins.co.uk and staging5.swankypins.co.uk.

This happened once before in a previous update and I was told to re-publish, clear cache ect. I have done both this time but it is still displaying incorrectly.

Hello,

Issue was caused by out of date header file in the child theme.
We have updated header.php file in the child theme. Check now.
We would recommend you using the Insert header footer plugin if you need to add any code before the close head tag.

Hi there, i got this problem with the header after the newest update.
The Logo showing up twice and other stuff looking messed up.
And the Product site is Broken too, is all aligned to the left side.

There is another problem. Every time I enter woodera’s url to come to the website, some file is downloaded instead of opening the website

Hello,

Go to XStore > File generator > remove the generated file. Don’t generate a file till we fix the issue in the theme update. Follow theme changelog.

Hi,

Thank you yes the header is fixed on staging site but how do I make the same changes to the live site?

The footer hasn’t changed though, it is still too long compared to live site. How can this be changed? I don’t think i need to add any code so probably don’t need to add another plugin.

Copy child theme from the staging site to the production site. Or provide us with the WP Dashboards and FTP access to your production site and we’ll help you.

Sorry, I don’t know how to do that so would be grateful if you could do it please. If I install the newer update that I see came out today, will that fix this issue on the live site without copying the child theme?

Oops sorry. I forgot to attach them. Please find details attached. I updated the production site today to V.8.0.1 but the double logo is still there. Thanks for making these changes.

I notice that on the ‘add to cart’ button on product page, the writing on the button disappears after the button is clicked since update to 8.0.1

Hello,

I moved scripts that you added to header.php to Settings > Insert Headers and Footers and removed header.php file from child theme. Check site now.

Hi,

Yes thanks the header is fine, but the product pages layout has all gone wrong. Please look at this one for instance – https://www.swankypins.co.uk/product/15-den-nylon-stockings-with-deep-welt/ I was checking products literally 5 minutes ago for a customer and they were displaying fine. Do you know how this has happened? Debbie

I have checked on a number of different browsers – all show the same result. It is the space where ‘recently viewed’ products should show. If you just looked at a product page you may not have seen this as you have to have something in ‘recently viewed’ to know what i mean. I have not updated or changed the recently viewed plugin, I did not have this problem until I updated.

Hello,

1) The mentioned plugin caused a fatal error with WP 5.8 https://prnt.sc/1epc51t So, I downgraded WP to 5.7.2 to avoid this. Don’t update WP till all the plugins and theme will filly support that.

2) If the slider for the recently viewed products is enabled it looks bugged even with the default Storefront theme https://prnt.sc/1epdt6n
Once I disable the slider https://prnt.sc/1epjaw4 it looks ok also with our theme https://prnt.sc/1epgzdj
