    Hello support team!

    I tried to configure new header builder function because the old one is deprecated and will run out in a few weeks.

    My problem is …, when I switch to header builder mode I can’t setup menus (main or mobile). Logo and top header menu are okay. Indeed I can choose a menu. But if I release/save this options – it happen absolutely nothing with the menu. For now it’s just impossible to setup it.

    Within the backend WP-menu page is a notice:
    “Your theme doesn’t support menus. But you can use them in sidebars if you add a ‘navigation menu widget’ in widget area.”

    … and in frontend appears a text inside menu area:
    “Set your menu in appearance > menus”

    Is that normal? Should that be so?
    WP, Xstore and all plugins they coming bundled with are updated. PHP version 7.3. Forein plugins are disabled.
    I did read something (here in the forum) about exporting old header options to import in header builder. Can you tell me how that works or show me a way to create and (especially!) to activate menus.

    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Stefan

    Hello,

    Contact your hosting provider to increase Max Input vars limit and Upload max filesize. Then activate the Header builder and create the desired header, + watch this video https://youtu.be/RbdKjQrFnO4
    Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Regards

    Hi Rose,

    I think I need further assistance or a couple of answers for my questions at least. I have problems to set up an fixed or smart header. So, all my questions circled around this topic:

    #1 Within my old header I had the logo centered in “normal” mode and left aligned in fixed/smart mode. That is impossible now, right?
    When the logo is in “normal” mode centered, so it is the same in fixed/smart mode. It’s centered too, right?
    If I want to have to logo in fixed/smart left aligned, so I need to set up it in “normal” mode and need to aligned there left too, right?

    #2 Next issue: height of fixed/smart header.
    I can’t find an option to changethe fixed/smart headers height. I want to have a logo there in two sizes with different heights. “Normal” header mode a bigger logo … and in fixed/smart mode a smaller version.
    My conclusion: The fixed/smart header depends on the height of desktop elements (e.g. logo).

    I see more options and more flexibility in new header builder tool, but also more confusion. Maybe you can help.

    Thanks in advance!
    Stefan

    Hello,

    1) There is no option to have 2 completely different headers for the default one and sticky. If you use header builder you can just choose what area should be sticky http://prntscr.com/qnnrdo but can’t change its content. I have made some changes in your header. Check if this is suitable for you.

    2) You can edit the min-height of every area in the Sticky header settings, for example http://prntscr.com/qnntkr
    To change logo for the fixed header use the custom below because there is no such option at this moment

    .et_b_header-logo.et_element-top-level .fixed img {
        width: 100px;
    }

    Regards

    Thank you for the answer! You have cleared my confusion. The information about the missing fixed header width/height option is great. Because I can stop searching for it=)
    When I start new header builder I thought all old options would be took on. They aren’t and I needed time to realize it. But now header builder gives users more control over header elements width.

    .et_b_header-logo.et_element-top-level .fixed img {
    width: 100px;
    }

    I also found this css-solution already. Thanks again!

    Best regards
