I notice someone else had the same problem but you requested login details rather than a reply I could follow. I would appreciate it if you could look at it as no-one can access my categories/products on mobile. I attach my details in case you need them. Thanks, Debbie

    Hello,

What version of WP do you use? 5.8? Downgrade WP to version 5.7.2. Theme does not support WP 5.8 at this moment. We are working on new theme update with support of WP 5.8.

    Regards

Yes I updated WP to 5.8. However, I also updated my staging site before the production site and the hamburger menu is working fine on mobile for the staging site so it does not make sense that it works on one site and not the other if both have WP 5.8 ?

Please can you let me know if this is really necessary as the only way I can do this is to use yesterdays backup of the site. Thanks, Debbie

    Hello,

Your Customizer styles is broken with the new 5.8 version. Also, widgets may have issues etc. In addition, the latest version comes with a number of changes that probably conflict with WP 5.8. So, either wait for the next theme update or try to downgrade the WP version, clear the mobile browser cache and check after that.

I have spent the whole afternoon trying to revert back to the previous version of WordPress. I have restored my website to yesterday, then tried again for the day before (20th), as that didn’t work. I have no idea what to do now. My website is not accessible on mobile due to the menu not working. Do you know when the update compatible with 5.8 will be ready?

Actually, I am not sure if the WordPress update is the problem. I am not experiencing any of these problems on my staging site, which has also been updated to wordpress 5.8. the hamburger menu is working on the mobile site and there is no problem with ‘recently viewed’. It is running your update 8.0.1 (v4.0.1 Xcore), exactly as production site. I do not understand this. Please look at staging5.swankypins.co.uk and you can see it is the same but everything seems to be working okay. Thanks, Debbie

    Hi,

I wonder if you could re-check that please. I have cleared the cache on my mobile many times, and asked friends & family to check it on their phones and all report that the hamburger menu is not working on mobile on the production site.

Both production site and staging site are running exactly the same versions of everything, but the staging site is working perfectly on desktop and mobile, while production site has errors with the display of ‘recently viewed’ on product pages (desktop only, not mobile) and is all over the place. The most important problem here is the hamburger menu, because no-one can access my products without being able to see the categories.

Thank you for rolling back the version of wordpress, the recently viewed’s are now displaying correctly – although I still don’t understand why the production site and staging site were both running exactly the same versions of everything (including WordPress 5.8), but the staging site is working perfectly on desktop and mobile and the production site wasn’t.

However there are still a few issues with the theme update that i had before. Most importantly, that the hamburger menu is not working on mobile . This means that customers cannot access products without access to the categories.

Also, when you first choose an option on a product page, the box is black before the sizes come into view and the ‘add to cart’ button goes blank once clicked.

The currency converter in the top bar has also disappeared since the roll-back of WordPress. It was there after the theme update, and still there after WordPress update but today it is not displaying.

you can see it working fine on staging site staging5.swankypins.co.uk

Could you look into this please, especially the mobile menu as I would be losing customers from this.

    Thanks, Debbie

    Hi,

You only downgraded WordPress to 5.7.2 this morning, do you want me to re-install WordPress 5.8 again? Did you update the theme on my website because I still see Xcore version 4.0.1 on there? I want to make double sure I’m not going to update WordPress to find it all goes wrong again. The hamburger menu on mobile did not work previously with WordPress 5.8, but is still not working on WordPress 5.7.2. Debbie

okay, I can see now that I have WordPress 5.8 again. However, the problems are still there –

    HI,

Customers have been unable to order via mobile for over 24 hours now because of the lack of a working menu on the website. I would be grateful if you could look at this please. Thanks, Debbie

    Hi,

I have been trying to solve this problem now for 3 days and have had no response from you since 23rd. Has this thread been closed, shall I open a new one? I still have the problems

    1. The hamburger menu is not working on mobile .

    2. When you first choose an option on a product page, the box is black before the sizes come into view and the ‘add to cart’ button goes blank once clicked.

    3. The currency converter in the top bar has also disappeared. It was there after the theme update, and still there when I first updated WordPress to 5.8 but today it is not displaying.

All these things are fine on the staging site which is also running 5.8 and theme version 8.0.1.

    Hello,

    Answered here https://www.8theme.com/topic/hamburger-menu-not-working-on-mobile-4-days-waiting-for-fix/#post-296053

The only one reason of the mobile menu issue could be browser cache. Because if everything works fine for you on the staging (that is the full copy of the production) and does not work on the production then only cached versions of the styles, scripts could give you this glitch. I tested using an Android device and your mobile menu works ok https://prnt.sc/1g4p9qo

    Hi

“I notice someone else had the same problem”
=> I had the same issue.

First I thought it doesn’t work even after update and clear cache, but, when changing the browser on my mobile device it worked perfectly. To double check , I’ve changed to another device which never accessed this website and it worked.

Btw, I checked on iPhone (Safari and Chrome), Android (Chrome), Desktop Chrome, and it worked. You might be using iPhone (Safari) ? Their cache is getting stronger every day so I suggest you to pay attention and install another browser such as Chrome to be sure 🙂

That cannot be the case. I have done many updates before – always clear caches and use incognito to check on different browsers. So far, 6 different people have checked this for me on their mobiles and ALL say the mobile menu isn’t working.

The only thing I can think of that may be different between staging site and production, is that someone from support changed something in my child theme a few days ago on the production site. These changes were not made on the staging site. Could this have caused the issue?

Same issue here. Everything worked great until I updated the theme this a.m. I think it has to do with the core plugin. Don’t know but I upgraded to WP 5.8 hoping that would fix it and no luck. Gotta get this fixed. Clearing cache did not help.
