Gtmetrix and fontawesome-webfont.woff2 - by SBB

Hello,

In GTmetrix i see there is loaded fontawesome-webfont.woff2

But I am not sure why. Where everywhere it is used in xstore theme? Is it possible to disable it? Those icons are nice, but slow web down, i used them in past in top slide bar but then i removed that one completely, not sure where is this webfont used?

Hello,

Theme Options -> Speed optimization -> Font Awesome > Off

Thanks, i have tried that but that doesn’t help. I have cleared TotalCache, Autooptmize and also Cloudflare cache but it is still here:

This one is coming from theme, so I still wonder where it is used?

Look it is actually loading twice as I can see it 2nd time from Yith Wishlist, but here I at least guess this is due wishlist icon:

I see this fontawesome-webfont.woff2 within preload in for theme, so i assume theme utilize it, I am just not sure if I need it. In GTmetrix it sometime take up to 1 second to load, what seems to be quite a lot for me, considering its only 75kb. I seen that other people were looking to this and had same question on this forum, but haven’t seen an answer how it ends.

Also seen recommendation to load this fontawesome from cloudflare servers – replace it in with https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/font-awesome/5.15.3/css/all.min.css

Is that something what would work?

I disabled cache plugins, enabled it again and don’t see FA font from our theme. To disable YITH Wishlist plugin calling we followed the plugin author suggestion https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fontawesome-9/
Check your site now.

Hi Olga,

Its was still there but i found out that it was in Extra/preload of autoptomize plugin. Once i deleted it its gone for good.

I have one more question please, should i open new topic or can we handle in this one?

Slider on main page somehow stopped working yesterday and wasn’t showing pictures – however I wanted to get rid off it anyway as it is slow and replace just by picture with heading and button. However I struggle to make it responsive on mobile. Could you advise? If need credential still valid. For the moment I set it as none visible on mobile as image neither button and heading was scaling to fit in.

Hello,

Please open up new topics for new questions.
Delete margins (from Design options) for the heading and button, set structure like this – http://prntscr.com/10w5kr0 and http://prntscr.com/10w5laj
Also, you can enable “WPBakery Responsive CSS Box-Module” in Theme Options > General / Layout, then you will be able to set different Design options for different devices.
If this is not what you are looking for, describe the desired result in more detail, please.
