    Hi,

I’m not sure if it was possible before, but after I’d restored a backup of my website. the spotlight categories carousel widget seems to work only after the second click on the particular category. I do not mean it doesn’t load the products from the chosen category but it doesn’t switch from categories to subcategories after the first click on the category, but rather on the second.

    2. Product filter – The counts in the product category only seem to update irregularly – it’s almost a day since I had last made a change and there are still outdated counts. When it comes to brands filter, it adds new brands but it hasn’t really updated the counts – most of them remain at 1. Additionally, I have added the active filter component but it does not appear if the subcategories in the top carousel are present.

    Thanks in advance,
    Filip

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

1/ To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://wetransfer.com/ , and provide us with the URL.

2/ It is possible that the cause of this is related to cached data.

We kindly recommend clearing the cache after making changes to products and categories. This includes clearing WooCommerce-related caches, which can be found in the following section:

    WooCommerce > Status > Tools

Please ensure you clear the following fields:
    – WooCommerce transients
    – Expired transients
    – Term counts
    – Brands transients

If you continue to experience any issues after performing these steps, please provide us with temporary wp-admin access.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Hi,

the second issue has been fixed. I’m attaching the video url to the private content area. Essentially, I want subcategories to appear upon the first click on the particular category. I’ve just compared the functionality with the demo version and it seems to be working similarly. Therefore, I’d like to ask, can it be set to switch to subcategories on the first click?

    Thanks,
    Filip

    Hi,

yes, it has fixed what I intented but from the user experience standpoint is not as great. what I mean is that the ajax auto scroll to products section was indispensable. Is there a way to implement it alongside the add_filter('etheme_dynamic_categories_support_ajax_filters', '__return_false'); or would it go against the logic of the single line of code?

    Best regards,
    Filip

    Dear @Filip,

In this case, the only effective solution at this time to resolve the issue is the one we have recommended. However, if you prefer to retain the previous version of the product category actions, you may simply remove the suggested code snippet.
