Getting attacked by bots/fake traffic causing server issues

Hi 8theme team,

We are getting tons of bots and spam users/fake traffic on 2 websites which are using X-Store.
Just wondering if you have any tips or ways to stop this?

This is causing server issues on our cPanel/WHM accounts.

1) Would making the website, showing as under construction stop this? So the bots cannot enter into the website?

2) Is there any section or feature on X-Store which can help us stop this? (fake traffic/bots)

3) Do X-Store have any safety/security panel? We did notice one time seeing something related to this on the X-Store panel, but cannot remember where and what it was called.

3) Do you have any other recommendations on what we can use to stop this?

Hi Tony,

Thanks – will look more into this.

Also, we think that if we add the under construction page onto the website, it will stop spam.

Can you please share the steps on how to activate those on the websites? (Coming soon – under construction pages)

– Does X-Store have any safety/security panel?

1) To activate the maintenance mode on the site please follow the steps:
Navigate to XStore > Maintenance Mode > On. https://imgur.com/a/0uQNppf

You may create the maintenance page from scratch at Dashboard – Pages – Add new. Choose “Maintenance” in the “Template” list of “Page attributes”. Or you can import the page from our demo in XStore Control Panel -> Import demos -> Coming Soon demos.

Hello, @GTP,

1/ We would like to inform you that by toggling the Maintenance Mode button, you will enable the under-construction page on your website. Should you not currently possess a maintenance page, you can easily create one by following these steps:

1. Navigate to your Dashboard.
2. Proceed to Pages and select ‘Add New’.
3. Under ‘Page Attributes’, locate the ‘Template’ dropdown menu and select ‘Maintenance’.

For further customization using Elementor, please adjust the page layout settings by choosing the “Maintenance Page” option.

Alternatively, if you prefer to use a pre-designed template, you have the option to import a page from our demo content. This can be done through the XStore Control Panel by selecting ‘Import Demos’ and then choosing from the ‘Coming Soon’ demos.
