  For whatever reason the titles in my widgets are black bars, I’ve tried things to fix it but for some reason they wont got to where the text itself is black.

  Secondly I am curious if there is a way to edit the color of the date boxes on the recent posts widget (mine is set up through 8theme-recent posts inside of appearance > widgets).

  Update: black bar issue has been solved.

  Second issue is still present (recent posts color)

  Hello,

  You can change color of date boxes using this code in Global Custom CSS:

  .footer-top.footer-top-1 .blog-post-list .date-event {
      background: #3B3B3B;
      outline-color: #626262;
      border-color: #3B3B3B;
  }

  Write your color values.
