hello,
I just started to work on the footer, I add a Text and calendar in the “Footer 2” in widgets and I have 2 questions:

1. the text and calendar appear one under the second in the website and not one next to the second. how can i get to a point where the widgets i add in “footer 2″ appear one next to the second in the website?”

2. In the demo, there is the “flickr” photos in the footer. I would like to have my instagram photos in the footer. How do I do that? which widget do I use?

Hello,

1. You need create footer with Static Block as described in the documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/footer and then add “8theme – Static Block” widget to “Footer 2” area in Appearance > Widgets.

2. There is no Instagram widget in the theme. You may try to use some plugin.

i am trying to work on it and created a static block but i can’t see the visual composer, its a blank page,
How do I activate the visual composer?

Hello,

Go to WP Dashboard > Visual Composer > General Settings > Content Types and tick “staticblock”.

Thank you very much Eva,
I still have questions unfortunately about it.
the documentation says:
“Add Widgetised Sidebar element into first column and select our About Company custom widget area.”

I created the Widgetised Sidebar successfully but can’t understand how to select the “About Company custom widget area”
How do I do that?

In addition, in the sidebar drop down menu inside the widgetised sidebar settings, what do I need to choose? Footer 2?

Hello,

You need to create custom sidebar at first https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/custom_widget_areas .

We can create footer for you if you want.
Provide us with wp-admin panel credentials in Private Content.

it now works perfectly and I could instal a plugin for an instagram gallery too.

My last question about the topic:
In the static block, first column I used that code from the documentation:
<h6>About The Company</h6>
The Eventry is a design company selling stationaries, decorations and websites that transform every event to a Unique celebration

<ul class="links hidden-phone pay-icons"> <li><a href="#"><img src="[template_url]/images/assets/paypal.png" alt="" /></a></li> <li><a href="#"><img src="[template_url]/images/assets/mastercard.png" alt="" /></a></li> <li><a href="#"><img src="[template_url]/images/assets/visa.png" alt="" /></a></li> </ul>

However after the paypal, master card & visa icons, there are a “discover” icon and 2 other “images” icons appearing on the website.

How can I erase those?

I can’t find this code,
where is it supposed to be?
In the same text block than the icons?

You should edit your static block and use Text editor, not Visual editor:

I am sorry to bother you.
I did what you sayed and still,
there are 4 icons:
1. paypal 2. mastercard 3.Visa 4.Discover

I would like to erase number 4.Discover.

Hello,

As you can see the image paypal.png contains all 4 icons. You need to edit it to your needs. You can find original image file in the wp-content/themes/legenda/images/assets directory.
