Fixing PageSpeed Issues once and for all. (Could apply to all 8Theme's themes)

Greetings,

I think that all of us love your themes, but when we get challenged with PageSpeed … it becomes a nightmare …

I would like to create a thread, ideally pineed on how to reach 85+ score on pagespeed with your themes. Please don’t like the usual tutorial, because for 99.99% of us, it’s just useless … We need something tailored to your theme.

The main issues we need to fixed with 8Theme’s help would be :
1. Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
2. Minify CSS
3. Minify JavaScript
4. Minify HTML
5. Leverage browser caching
6. Prioritize visible content
We would list suggested plugins and how to configure them in relation with 8Theme’s themes, what can be done when using a child theme, etc.

I’m doing this for all the members but it’s also a super opportunity to illustrate your company above all the competition …

Hello,

To improve page speed we would recommend to use cache plugin. For example W3 Total cache, because it has almost all the necessary options. Theme supports all the plugin option, but if you use Minify mode it should be Manual. Minify settings http://prntscr.com/cq3b7v

To optimize CSS, JS, HTML use also Autoptimize plugin

To pass the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”-rule use Above The Fold Optimization plugin

Leverage browser caching – this is related to your server settings https://gtmetrix.com/leverage-browser-caching.html

Every case of the site optimization is a unique. We can just point to the right direction. All the concrete settings depend on the content you use and server parameters.
