Hi,
Im giving last toutches to lauch website next week, i have just some problems, one is with updating the theme, it seems i lost some translations i did in loco after last update of theme, i did them again but i dont want to have to do it every time the theme is upgraded, can you please check if i have something that is not well configurated.
Thank you!
Hello,
Translation files should be placed into the languages /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder. After every update, you need to synchronize translation – https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/103-translation-files-update Sometimes new strings are added and only after synchronization, you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. Not always, but some strings can be missing after the sync and you need to find and translate them one more time, this is independent of us and relates to WP functionality. Do not forget about XStore Core plugin which contains few strings visible of the frontend.
Also, do a backup of all the files before any update.
Regards
Thank you for the help, i checked the server and it seems they are in the correct place, just send a image, please confirm if its ok:
P.S. – Still i get a this message in wordpress wen i go to Loco/themes/xstorechild, dont know why:
Notice: Changes to this file may be overwritten or deleted when you update WordPress
Hello,
Just close this message http://prntscr.com/pfuud8
WordPress copies translation files back after the update, so you won’t lose them. Anyway always do the backup of your files and DB before WP update.
