    Hi,

On any of our shop or category pages (across our website), when using the off-canvas filter on mobile, after selecting an option, the floating filter icon disappears and the user must reload the page for it to reappear. We don’t know what causes the issue.

That said, we do distinguish between desktop and mobile by offering our customers the same filter options in both the shop filter widget and the shop sidebar widget, hiding the shop filter widget on mobile and hiding the shop sidebar widget on desktop (we don’t know of a better way to offer a different filtering layout for different devices than this)

Anyway, maybe this is related to the floating filter icon issue?

We also want to distinguish between the desktop shop filters being closed and the mobile sidebar widget filters being open, but the control panel in Xstore’s customer only allows for one setting. Since this is likely configurable via CSS, we would appreciate guidance.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video (or a few videos) demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://fex.net/ , and provide us with the URL.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

Please see video in private section on the floating filterr icon issue.

With regard to the toggle open/closed widget:

It seems we can have a separate action for the mobile version (sidebar widget being closed upon loading), but not the topbar widget we use on desktop. How can we resolve this so that the topbar widget is closed, and a seperate action for mobile widget (sidebar) to be open upon page load?

    Hello @Bas Kling,

The login information for your website is currently incorrect. Could you please open “XStore Options → Speed Optimization” and enable the “Disable Pjax pagination” option? After that, please clear your caches and check again.

Regarding the logo issue, we noticed in the browser inspector that some custom CSS with a high “z-index” value is causing the problem (see: https://prnt.sc/1e1YnShN_8Ql). We recommend setting the “z-index” value to “2” and checking the result.

If you require our assistance, please provide us with the updated login link to your website.

    Best regards,

Apologies, the temp login link had expired.
    New one in Private.

I’ve applied the change, and cleared cache. Mobile still displays same behaviour. Maybe you could check on your end?

    Hello @Bas Kling,

Thank you for providing the correct credentials.

We have checked the off-canvas toggle issue on our devices, and it has now been resolved (please see the attached video). Regarding the logo overlay issue, as we see the suggested above fix was not implemented on your side yet. There is still a high custom z-index value set in “Theme Options” (https://prnt.sc/RxVo5uGMRWcQ), and your custom CSS has been duplicated in “Customizer → Additional CSS” (https://prnt.sc/oKFmlrwhjJr6, https://prnt.sc/jdrBbi2cENGA).

We have now changed the z-index value to “2” and the issue has also been resolved. Please note that we are not responsible for any customization changes made on your side. With the z-index properties removed from your custom CSS, the logo is now displayed correctly in the header of your website (https://gyazo.com/2345f162febc08a88826a1c1cfa15d67).

    Hi Jack,

The z-index issue is entirely our fault, and I appreciate your support in fixing this nonetheless.
Still, of more importance is the closed filters issue, where we seem to be able to open all filters for desktop (topwidget) and separately have them closed on mobile (sidebar widget), but not the other way around (https://imgur.com/OdGziC2). Is there a way of fixing this?

    Hello @Bas Kling,

As indicated in the description of this setting (https://prnt.sc/HDnWBPK2kHyH), if a caching system is enabled on your website, the “Collapse on mobile” option may not function correctly due to the default WordPress function used to detect mobile devices. However, when we enable this option, it works correctly on our end (https://prnt.sc/WfDROAWZ9uxo, https://prnt.sc/7CEP9GBXoN17).

Could you please clarify your request and let us know if the issue still appears on your side, or provide the steps to reproduce it? Please note that you need to fully refresh the page when testing from a desktop in responsive mode to verify the collapsed or non-collapsed widgets. This is because the wp_is_mobile function detects devices using PHP rather than JavaScript, so a page refresh is required for the changes to take effect.

    Hi Jack,

The caching system isn’t the issue here. We see the results on our end, the same as you.
We need it to be the other way around, so like this on desktop https://imgur.com/6sJ98Fz (topwidget, everything closed) and this on mobile https://imgur.com/3xfraAL (sidebar widget, everything open)

    Hello @Bas Kling,

Thank you for your clarification. In this case, we believe that the next option (https://prnt.sc/eTlfbcK3vyUC), which we have already improved for you and will include in our next update, should meet your requirements. We have set the “Widget toggle action” option to “Collapsed on desktop” so that it appears as shown in your screenshots. Please check it now.

    Best regards,
