Featured Products on homepage - by damon

Hi There,

I’m having troubles with the featured products on homepage.

I’ve noticed that in the original theme template, this is done via “products’ element in visual composer.

Ive set the settings as “featured products’ and set the products in woo commerce as Featured, bu they are not appearing on homepage.

Please could you help with this.

HI Rose,

Thanks for this.

I have found another way before you sent the email, but via an external plugin.
As the woocommerce featured products option in visual composer, works but does dislay products correctly, no slider etc….

This really should be within your theme when first built, as most would use woocommerce. But I understand the complexities involved.

Good knowledge for others though.

Please check email.
Also update theme to latest version https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/#!/installation_upgrade (Theme Upgrade) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdWESIIPU1k&feature=youtu.be
Theme version 3.2 is available on ThemeForest (log in with your Envato account credentials and free download the latest version in Downloads section)
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.
Also, update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.

Hello,
it’s done : we have uploaded the theme and plugins but we still have the same issue with the display of featured products.

So can you send us this file /framework/shortcodes.php

to see if we can fix it

Hello @evatis.

Please clear your browser cache after update and refresh cache on your site in case you have plugins like “W3 Total Cache” enabled and installed on your wordpress.

Hi,
I’m having exactly the same problem with my site since the update. Featured products on the homepage just show completely the wrong ones. I’ve added/removed various products to be featured in admin but the list doesn’t change.
I have updated the theme to the latest version and also downloaded the latest version of VC.
Could you send me the fix for the homepage featured products via the shortcodes.php file that is mentioned above also please.
