    Hello, @joebuston,

    Thank you for reaching out and providing a detailed description of the issue you are encountering.

    We are pleased to inform you that there are two methods available for configuring the breadcrumbs background image within the Xstore theme:

    1. To apply a global setting for the breadcrumbs background image, navigate to Xstore >> Theme Options >> Breadcrumbs. This configuration will be reflected across your entire website.

    2. Alternatively, you can assign a featured image to an individual page. This image will automatically serve as the breadcrumb background for that specific page and will take precedence over any global settings established as per the first method.

    Based on your message, we understand that you wish to use featured images for SEO purposes without displaying them as breadcrumb backgrounds on the front end. To accomplish this, please insert the following CSS code into Xstore >> Theme Options >> Theme Custom CSS >> Global CSS:

    .page-heading, .breadcrumb-trail {
        background-image: none !important;
    }

    After adding the code, kindly clear your browser’s cache and revisit your site to see the changes take effect.

    Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    You didn’t understoo what I said. I said that I set individual page featured image because I wanted to change page seo image but that also changed page breadcrumbs and it shouldn’t work like that!

    Hello, @joebuston,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

    Please check this conversation https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-remove-featured-image-for-yoast-seo/ and contact support of the Yoast SEO plugin to get further assistance.

    We already explained how the Featured image works with breadcrumbs in our theme, so it is not a bug, but a predefined behavior.

    We did not get complaints from customers before, so it seems they were able to achieve the desired result via SEO plugin settings.

    If you want to request changing the current predefined behavior, please contact our dev team directly by submitting a request on this page – https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/ Should your suggestion receive substantial support from our customer base, we will consider incorporating it into future theme updates.

    Another way can be using custom CSS code to set the desired background image in breadcrumbs, we will be able to provide you a code example after getting you the URL of your page, before doing so, please contact SEO plugin support first.

    We hope this information is helpful.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team
