Everything was working fine until I tried to add the static blocks for the footer and now I’m experiencing the following:

    – Promo pop up no longer shows even though its selected as “on” in theme options.

    – 2nd menu no longer shows when you scroll.

    – In mobile, the menu is no longer clickable.

    – When I tried to add the static block to the footer, I get the following message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32776 bytes) in /home/content/31/5499731/html/howtowriteabook/wp-includes/shortcodes.php on line 351

The footer is now in “draft” mode as I await your response. Thanks!

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

“Fatal error: Allowed memory size” means your site is lack of memory. You need contact your hosting provider support and ask them to increase memory_limit value.
Also you must not select “Footer 2” or “Footer 1” areas in Widgetised Sidebar element http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/16/0309/h_1457522881_4378502_882143af22.png as they are created to display your footer and you need to add “8theme – Static Block” widget to one of these areas in Appearance > Widgets and select your footer static block. So remove current Widgetised Sidebar elements in your static block.
If you want to add some widgets you can create custom areas https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/9_widgets_custom_widget_areas and add widgets there, then select them in Widgetised Sidebar element.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello,

As I see there are a lot of errors in the console http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/16/0310/h_1457601780_7124235_2066fd0710.png related to mailchimp form. As I see there is no MailChimp plugin installed in the dashboard. Are you using any additional code for mailchimp form? Please remove it and check site after that.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Thank you so much Jack, that worked! Can you pls tell me how to update the top bar and footer to reflect my own social media pages when using the [share] shortcode. I looked at the template instructions and didn’t see it mentioned.

    Hello,

In this case you should edit wp-content/themes/woopress/framework/shortcode.php file.

Please find // ! Share This Product section and you’ll see code there.

You need to change the link for your social pages in a href attribute. For example:
    <a href="https://your link here" class="'.$tooltip_class.'" title="'.__('Twitter', ET_DOMAIN).'" target="_blank">

    Regards,
    Robert Hall.
