    Hello,

In case you were unable to see my reply before I closed the last ticket, I greatly thank you for helping me address that issue.

Sorry to contact you again so soon, I totally forgot to mention another prevalent issue. Clients have reported that they are unable to access their accounts. I have also seen a great many failed logins over the past few weeks.

Secondly, if you try to create an account by clicking REGISTER, the initial registration works perfectly, but when you click on the link in the registration email that says “click here to set your password” it brings you to the forgot password page.

It’s like a constant loop after that. I’m not sure if this is due to a change or if has always been this way, but it seems the endpoints are off somehow. Any insight or support on this is greatly appreciated.

    Warm Regards,

    Kingsley

    Hello, @Kingsley,

Thank you for choosing XStore as your WooCommerce WordPress theme.

1/ The My-Account page functionality comes from the WooCommerce plugin.

2/ We are reaching out to provide you with detailed instructions on how to activate user registration on your website.

Please follow the steps outlined below:

    1. Navigate to your website’s dashboard.
    2. Select ‘WooCommerce’ and then ‘Settings’.
    3. Go to ‘Account & Privacy’.
    4. Under ‘Account Creation’, select the “Enable” option next to ‘Allow customers to create an account on the “My account” page’.
    5. Click “Save changes” to apply the settings.

For your reference, you can view the settings in the image provided here: https://paste.pics/edit/R8SS6

Additionally, we recommend reviewing our theme documentation for further guidance, which can be found at: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/enabling-user-registration-on-website/

2/ Please check how it works when no XStore theme is activated, but a default WooCommerce theme – Storefront (Appearance > Themes).
Let us know the results of the test.

We strongly recommend that you create a complete backup of your site before proceeding with these steps.

If the behavior continues regardless of the theme being used, it suggests that the problem may not be related to the theme itself.
We recommend that you reach out to your hosting provider to review the server mail log. Additionally, it would be prudent to contact WooCommerce plugin support concurrently for further assistance – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving your query promptly.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I apologize for my lateness, I have been very unwell.

Please be advised that the screenshot you provided in your reply here: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/enabling-user-registration-on-website/ shows a slightly different setup than what is shown in my admin.

This is what mine looks like as of today: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jM4M4TZmVQsHDwN-vGoophdDK-DINLjS/view?usp=drivesdk

I wish it was the way yours looked, that is much better and would avoid this issue altogether.

The functionality shown in the following video can cause confusion: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z6HuhLOmoFBLV9B_xxvkkLT7LLwHScRj/view?usp=drivesdk

The looping issue appears to be resolved but there is an issue with buttons like the video above: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DI1nlXMvKgQ2MGnWxeg4C6HF6Fpslm0R/view?usp=drivesdk

    Thank you for your support.

    Warm Regards,

    Kingsley

    Dear @Kingsley,

We hope you are doing well.

We would like to inform you that we have fixed the buttons in each input area, and this improvement will be included in the next update.

However, we regret to inform you that there is no quick solution available to enable automatic scrolling to the registration form in case of an issue during registration.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or require any assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jack,

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate your help with this. Now I am just wondering what to do to make sure that returning clients always see the most recent version of the site without having to clear their cache, as I still see the site in it’s former state unless I use incognito browser, even with several manual refreshes.

    Warm Regards,

    Kingsley

    Dear @Kingsley,

We hope you are doing well.

We would like to suggest enabling the following option: https://prnt.sc/TlIP5kDnC7Rm. However, since you are using the WP Rocket plugin, we recommend reaching out to their support team for further guidance, as the caching of your website is managed through their plugin settings.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Dear @Kingsley,

We hope you are doing well.

It appears that the issue you are experiencing may be caused by your custom snippet (as shown here: https://prnt.sc/tzmkx7SI3TeS), which modifies content during the load action. We attempted to deactivate the snippet; however, due to the active CDN cache on your website, we were unable to verify whether this resolves the issue.

We kindly ask you to deactivate the snippet on your end and clear the CDN cache before checking if the issue persists. Please note that we do not encounter this issue on our local website or on our demo versions, indicating that it is specific to your website.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry for the delayed response on this. What is this snippet, is that the sitewide scrolling banner? When I first switched over to you guys from Shopify, I had told my web designer to make an exact copy of the old site. I specifically remember telling him to make sure that was there before I approved the final design and so he added I’m not sure if he turned that on or added that to the site. Can you confirm?

    Warm Regards,

    Kingsley

    Dear @Kingsley,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Unfortunately, we are unable to determine the purpose or reasoning behind the specific code snippet implemented by your designer. As this customization falls outside the scope of our theme’s default functionality, we are not responsible for any custom modifications made by customers to their websites.

We kindly recommend that you contact your developer directly to inquire about the changes they have made and to address any necessary adjustments on their end.

    Best regards,
