    Hi

I’m having difficulties configuring your theme as every few minutes my installation reverts to the WordPress install screen as database queries have exceeded the limit set on the shared hosting environment of 75,000/hour (max_questions). If I wait it then resets itself and off I go again. I’ve spoken to my hosting provider and at their suggestion installed a query monitor plugin to try and see what plugin/script is causing the issue however I can’t see what the problem is – most page loads appear to be <300 database queries so I'm puzzled as to why the limit is being breached so quickly.

The site is currently in development so I want to get this issue resolved before I go live. I've put my WordPress login details in the private content area.

I hope you can steer me in the right direction please as I really like your theme.

    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hello!

We are sorry for the delay in the response.

I have tried some options temporarily in the Xstore theme options but I do not see the issue. Can you please share a video recording or steps so I can follow them and try to replicate the issue so I can help you?

    Thank you!

    Hi

The issues is that after modifying/updating around 5 or 6 products or making a similar number of operations the max questions limit set by my hosting provider in the MYSQL database is exceeded resulting in WordPress not being able to connect to the databse and therefore showing the initial install screen. The limit set is 75,000 queries per hour and once the current period has ended WordPress is able to connect again and all appears normal. My hosting provider is saying this is likely to be caused by a plug-in or theme scrip in error which is therefore making so many databse queries in such a short time period. I’ve not been able to see this after loading the query monitor plugin, so I just wondered if you had come across it beofr eor would be able to better interpret the information from the Query Monitor plugin?

Unfortunately there isn’t anything I can record really.

    Thanks
    Ian

    Hello,

We don’t see such a number of queries using Query Monitor while editing products. Could you, please, contact your hosting provider and ask them to provide list of queries that they get as an example to find out what causes these queries?

    Regards

    Thank you Olga

That matches what I’m seeing too. I’ve tried my hosting provider again but they aren’t keen to help further so I’m trying a work around whereby I’ve created a number of database users with the same password and each time a query is made it uses a different user at random. That way I’m hoping to increase the 75,000 limit enough for it not to be a problem. I can’t help thinking that it may be a problem with the way their database is set up as initially it was causing a couple of my websites to go to the initial install screen (both websites were using the same database username/password combination despite being separate databases). I changed these to different usernames and that restricted the impact to the one site based upon your theme.

Anyway hopefully this change to the wp-config file will sort the issue for now.

Many helps for your support, as always it is excellent from 8Theme!
