Hello:

after updating theme, WC and WP. There are these two issues:

1/ the MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress Plugin displays the following error message on top of my website:
Notice: register_rest_route was called incorrectly. The REST API route definition for mc4wp/v1/form is missing the required permission_callback argument. For REST API routes that are intended to be public, use __return_true as the permission callback. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.5.0.) in /home1/ministt4/public_html/longislanddarts/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5225

2/ Even though I have selected to show products and a sidebar on the “shop” page. The shop page displays categories and some products and does not show any sidebar. It looks like is set to some type of default page and does not accept any changes.

2) Provide us with WP Dashboard access to your site, please.

I have tried to update it / remove and re-install and I still get the same message.

Hello,

1) If you disable the plugin you won’t have the error. Flush cache if you still have the error when MailChimp plugin is disabled and wait for update for the plugin.

2) I asked you about WordPress Dashboard access, not about FTP.

Hello,

Problem with the sidebar is caused by Product Sort and Display for WooCommerce plugin. Once we disable plugin sidebar is ok. So, contact plugin author to find out why do they remove the sidebar.
