    After migrating the website from localhost to live EC2 server, special characters are not rendered correctly.

    “you’ll” -> “you’ll”

    DB is same as localhost, tables are utf8mb4 and content can be retrieved from the DB and rendered properly if WPBakery isn’t used.

    I have reached out to WPBakery and this is their response:

    “Hello, It looks like a third party code might be altering the page builder output at your end. As you got the plugin within a theme, you will need to contact your theme author for support”

    Please advise the next steps I need to take to resolve this matter.

    Hello,

    Where exactly the problem persists on your site?
    Also, provide us with temporary wp-admin access so we can take a closer look.

    Regards

    Hello,

    Go to Massive Addons > System Info > check if MB strings option is enabled in the server configuration. If not then contact your hosting provider and ask to enable it.

    Regards
