Hi, I’d like to enable the language area which I’ve done in the theme settings. EN, DE etc. appears at the top. But what then?

In the documentation it just says: “Enable languages area: ability to turn on/off “Place in header top bar” widget area;”. What is the point of putting language codes when the links doesn’t do anything.
Any where else I need to do something?

In WPML there’s a language selector widget which overrules above theme standard but actually I’d like to use the built-in theme language switcher if it makes sense.

    Regards
    Jens

    Hello Jens,

Header ‘languages area’ is designed to be used with WPML plugin only.

Hi, so the built-in language links in your theme (EN, DE, FR…) are just for display/example and CANNOT be used? If I wanted to use them I would have to change the code, right?
Just making sure I’m not missing anything.

    Hello,

    Yes, you are right.
They are used just as an example.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
