    Hi,

I am trying to edit some blocks and they have background images, but I cannot see how to reference a new image, because I am not sure how this number(136) comes into play referencing the image to use. Any help please…

    [banner img=”136″ img_size=”570×200″ class=”a-right” hover=”zoom”]

If you look at the home page there are 2 blocks that have background images. Simple installation and Shipping. I am trying to figure out how to change the background image but cannot see how to reference it.

    Hello,

You need update Visual Composer plugin to the latest version. After that you’ll be able to edit Banner element on your home page.

You can download the latest plugin version here:
    https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

Also update the theme to the latest version.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Thank you, what is the best way to update the theme, should I download all the files again from CC and then do the install.

Also will I lose my changes and custom work I have done to the design?

    Hello,

Please watch the tutorial in the previous post. You just need to overwrite theme files.
If you didn’t modify original theme files, but only in Theme Options, then your design changes won’t be lost.

    Eva Kemp.

Current theme version is 2.7.1. Please transfer all your changes to the Child theme before update. Here you may read about Child theme:

    Hi,

I will take a complete backup, do the update and see, the only changes would be to the design, but I am sure I can replicate my changes. Thank you

That Theme update was OK, I only have a few changes to re-instate. Can I ask, how do I update the Visual Composer? That does not have an update button, do i remove it and then install it again.
