Hello, I want to redesign an existing site. I want to put it on another domain and edit it there (so that it is not active and not indexed by Google), then once it is redesigned, return it to the active domain. Is it possible to do that?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello, Zg007,

Yes, it is possible. When activating the theme, please select the staging site option as shown in the screenshot.

Does this mean that after moving the website to the backup domain I need to deactivate the theme? Or please write me in steps how to do it (Staging website 1). Thanks

    Hello, Zg007,

    Thank you for your message.
If you are moving your website to a backup or staging domain, please follow these steps:

    1. Deactivate the theme on your current (live) website.
    2. Move or copy your website files and database to the backup/staging domain.
    3. Activate the theme again on the staging website.
    4. Make sure that the theme license is used only on one domain at a time (either live or staging).

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
