I installed a plugin to create Imagemaps. It is called DrawAttention plugin.
I have been having an issue when viewing the image map in IE. The hyperlink does not show a hand on mouseover and the url in the statusbar keeps jumping.
I contacted the plugin developers and this was their response………..

I’m sorry for the delay. This issue is a little difficult to troubleshoot, but we believe the line of code causing Draw Attention to misbehave is this:
<meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=9″ />
That code in your theme tells IE to behave as if it’s IE9, and IE9 does not support some modern javascript that Draw Attention requires. We have had some people remove that line of code from their theme with success. However, you may want to contact your theme provider to ask if it would cause any issues to remove it. And if you remove it, you’ll want to test all the pages on your site to make sure everything else is working properly.

Could you please let me know if I can remove the line <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=9″ /> or not?
Thanks
Jeanne
Hello,
Yes, you may remove the code. It shouldn’t affect your site display.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
