Hi, I’ve seen many request to disable the cart and use the theme as catalogue but is it possible to disable the buy button from just one product. It’s a situation where all other products can be shipped but this one needs face to face meeting in a physical shop. Looking forward to your answer. Jens

Hello, makeitec
Thanks for your request 🙂
You can simply set your Product as Out Of Stock and then Add to cart will be disabled. Instead of that will be Read More button.

Hi there, sorry I tried this but there’s just a text ‘out of stock’ (which is actually false) and nothing else. No ‘Read more’ button…

Hello,
Please provide us with wp-admin panel access and a link to the product.
Thank you.

Hello,
“Read more” button doesn’t show on a single product page when a product is out of stock. It’s visible on shop page where all products are shown.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Okay, I see. So it’s not really possible to differentiate a product on its single product page regarding buying method. And changing the text ‘Out of stock’ just for the one product would also require code customization.
Thanks for digging into it.
Jens
Hello,
Sorry, but there is no such possibility to do this only for one product.
Please take our apologies.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
No Problem. However, can you tell me in which file the text string – “not in stock” – is located for the single product page?
Thx.
Hello,
This text is written in wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce/content-product.php (line 85).
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Thx, your help is much appreciated.
